Consideration of a Resolution Approving a Special Use Permit for the Construction of a Dog Park within the Green Belt Conservation Overlay District
The Green River High School National Honor Society is seeking consideration for Special Use Permit approval for the construction of a dog park to be located on City property at 80 E Teton Blvd. The property is located within the Green Belt Conservation Overlay District and therefore requires Special Use Permit approval.
The proposed site is located next to Animal Control which is zoned l-1 (Light Industrial), O (Open Lands) and is located within our Green Belt Conservation Overlay District. Development within the Conservation Overlay zones requires a Special Use Permit issued by the Governing Body. The Green Belt Conservation Overlay District is intended to protect and preserve the Green River Floodway through the community as a natural resource.
The Planning and Zoning Commission considered this request at the May 13, 2020 P&Z Commission meeting. After discussion and consideration of all evidence, the Commission unanimously recommended approval of the Special Use Permit.
