Officers received a report from a Green River citizen about two females knocking on their door stating they were working for the consensus and asked to be invited into the house. The resident was unsure of the validity of the two females and told them they could not enter the house at which time they left. After contacting the Census Bureau they provided this information. “The Census Bureau conducts surveys year round for various surveys: American Community, Housing, Crime, Health, etc. The field rep should carry an ID Badge. The resident can call our main office and verify the identity of the employee at 800-852-6159”. The Green River Police Department encourages any citizen to call that number if they have any concerns about persons identifying themselves as Census workers.

Officers are attempting to locate a missing 16 year old male who was reported as a runaway. The missing juvenile may be driving one of the family’s vehicle which is reported as stolen, a Dodge Neon, Black in color, license plate Wyoming 4-3927. Anyone seeing that vehicle is encouraged to call the Green River Police Department at 872-0555.

Officers responded to a business on Uinta with the Fire Department in reference to a vehicle leaking gasoline. The Fire Department was able to neutralize the spilled gas.

Officers responded to a domestic disturbance on Ironwood St.

Officers responded to a residence regarding a report of a possible suicidal subject.

Officers investigated a report of a possible malicious mischief on Apache.

Officers responded to an address on 4th South regarding a hit and run crash to a fence.

Officers stopped a vehicle for speeding and determined an arrest warrant existed for the driver. Douglas D Myers Jr., was arrested on the warrant issued out of the Circuit Court of the Third Judicial District, and was subsequently charged with driving a vehicle with no insurance and for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

Officers assisted Probation and Parole Agents on Commerce Dr.

Officers investigated a crash on Monroe in front of Monroe School. Amanda Allgier was cited for inattentive driving and driving a vehicle with no insurance.

Officers responded to an address on 3rd North regarding a welfare check. A person making a delivery to the residence reported hearing someone inside yelling for help. Officers arrived and made contact with the occupant and determined there were no problems.

Officers responded to an address on Upland regarding a dog running at large which had been caught by the caller. The dog was impounded at the animal shelter.

Officers were called to Smith’s Food regarding a vehicle parking in the “Handicapped Parking” space.

Officers received a report of a stolen firearm. Officers determined that the firearm had been in the possession of someone previously arrested and was taken by the police for safe keeping rather than leaving it in the vehicle.

Officers conducted a civil stand-by at a local business.

Officers assisted medical personnel for a passenger on the Amtrak Train. The passenger was transported via ambulance to the Memorial Hospital with a possible stroke.
