Dustin L Jereb, age 32, of Rock Springs was arrested on 5/4/13 at 02:24 am on Uinta Drive for Driving While Intoxicated. Jereb was stopped for a Lane Use violation and subsequent investigation showed he was intoxicated. Jereb refused to submit to a breath test and a search warrant was obtained to draw his blood. Jereb was transported to the hospital where his blood was drawn by a lab technician per the search warrant. Jereb was then transported to jail.
Officers were dispatched to a one car crash at the parking lot between Smith’s Food and Shopko. Upon arrival the officer found the car had rolled over onto the driver’s side. The driver and passenger were treated at the scene for minor injuries. Further investigation showed the driver, a 17 year old male to be under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested for DWI Youthful Offender. He was later released to a guardian.
Kevin M Jewell, age 26 of Green River, was arrested on 5/4/13 at 04:59 am on W Teton Blvd for Driving While Intoxicated. Jewell was stopped for a speeding violation and subsequent investigation showed he was intoxicated. Jewell was taken into custody and a breath test at the jail showed his blood alcohol concentration was over the legal limit.
Officers investigated a shoplifting complaint on Uinta Drive when a male took an item from the store, concealed on his person and left the store without paying for the item. The subject was identified by officers from watching surveillance video at the store. Officers were unable to contact the suspect at this time. A report was forwarded to the city prosecutor for review.
Officers took a Fraud report on Bridger Drive when the victim advised she was defrauded out of $781.00 by two males with foreign accents. The victim advised she applied for a loan online and was contacted by two males who advised her she needed to send them $780.00 for a loan processing fee for a $3000 loan. The victim advised she again was contacted by the suspects and they requested additional money and when the victim refused they threatened to sue her. The investigation is ongoing.
A report of Malicious Mischief was taken on E Teton Blvd when the victim advised someone had damaged her corral at the Municipal Corrals on E Teton Blvd. The victim estimated her loss at $90.00. The investigation is ongoing.
Officers investigated a crash on the FMC park road when a pickup truck driven by a 17 year old male went out of control and over turned onto its roof. No injuries were reported. The juvenile was cited for Careless Driving.
Officers issued two trespass warnings to two individuals at the request of a business owner on Uinta Drive.
A Larceny report was investigated on Wind River Drive when the victim advised when he returned from work he discovered property missing from his apartment valued at over $2700. Subsequent investigation identified a suspect and the missing items were recovered. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
Officers assisted Green River Fire Department personnel with a brush fire on Wild Horse Canyon Rd.
Officers were dispatched to Domestic Battery on Delaware Court when the victim advised she was attacked by her husband and strangled. The husband left the residence prior to police arriving and refused to meet with officers when contacted by phone. A report was forwarded to the County Attorney’s office for review.
Officers investigated a Hit and Run crash on W Teton Blvd when the owner of a green GMC Suburban reported an unknown vehicle struck his vehicle while it was legally parked. Damage to the Suburban was estimated at over $1000. Anyone with information please call the GRPD at 872-0555.
A Disturbing the Peace complaint was taken on Wilson Street; the suspect was contacted and advised of the complaint.
A welfare check was taken on Anvil Drive when the reporting party advised she believed her ex-boyfriend was going to harm himself. The boyfriend was later contacted by the Rock Springs PD and they advised he was fine.
A Burglary report was taken on Cumorah Drive when the victim advised someone had entered his apartment while he was at work and stole items valued at over $2300. The case has been assigned to the investigation division.
Officers assisted ambulance personnel on Chugwater Drive with a 57 year old female who was displaying symptoms of dementia.
Officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute on Bridger Drive; the dispute was not physical and no arrests were made.
Abandoned vehicles were tagged on E Flaming Gorge Way and also on E Teton Blvd.
Officers assisted Probation and Parole agents by witnessing client’s drug tests on Commerce Way.
Animal Control Officers responded to a stray dog complaint on E Flaming Gorge Way.
Officers assisted ambulance personnel on Juniper Street with an 88 year old male who is lethargic and possibly dehydrated.
Officers responded to suspicious circumstances on Logan Street. The reporting party advised the house across the street is being renovated and the front door is open. The house owner was contacted and everything was okay; the door was mistakenly left open.
Officers assisted ambulance personnel on Riverbend Drive with a 49 year old male who was suffering from symptoms of a heart attack.
