Daniel S Samsel, age 26, of Rock Springs, was cited for Possession of Marijuana on 5/15/13 at 0:352 am on Railroad Street. Officers were checking a suspicious vehicle and when Samsel rolled down the driver’s side window the officers smelled a strong odor of marijuana. Subsequent investigation revealed a small amount of marijuana and a pipe on Samsel and he was cited and released.

A Malicious Mischief report was taken on W Teton Blvd when the victim’s girlfriend advised someone had “keyed” her boyfriend’s pickup truck. There have been a rash of similar incidents occurring on this street and police are asking anyone with information to call 872-0555.

A report of a vehicle passing a school bus was taken on Monroe Ave when the driver of the bus advised a silver Ford SUV passed his bus when the stop sign was deployed and the lights were flashing. A suspect was identified and questioned and she admitted to the violation. A report was forwarded to the city prosecutor for review.

Officers issued a trespass warning to two people for an address on Pelser Street at the homeowner’s request.

Officers assisted Probation and Parole agents by witnessing a client’s drug test on Commerce Way.

A barking dog complaint was taken on South Carolina Drive; the owner was contacted and the dogs were taken inside the residence.

Officers responded to an ATM alarm on Uinta Drive and the alarm company was informed.
