PRESS RELEASE 6/20/2013
Larry Leon Dean, age 44, of Green River was arrested without incident on 6/19/2013 at approx. 08:30am at 1240 West Teton Green River. Dean was arrested for a Sweetwater County Warrant on Failure to Maintain Liability Insurance.
Officers took a report of an assault that occurred at 1235 South Dakota. The investigation is continuing into the incident.
Officers took a report from Matthew Fleming, age 18 of a lost wallet.
Officers took a report of suspicious property found inside a local business. The items recovered were found to be non-drug related and disposed of.
Officers took reports of a vehicle Hit and Run at 350 Monroe and the second Hit and Run at an unknown location.
Officer investigated a crash on East 2nd South when a vehicle driven by Wilma Realing backed into a parked vehicle owned by Bo Moore. No injuries were reported and Realing was issued a citation for Improper Backing.
Officers investigated a crash on Arizona at Wyoming. A car traveling west bound on Arizona driven by a 15 year old failed to yield and struck a south bound truck. No injuries were reported. The car received extensive damages and was towed from the scene. Citations were issued to the 15 year old driver for No Driver’s License and Failure to Yield. The driver of the truck Brenen Olson, age 22, was issued a citation for Failure to Maintain Liability Insurance.
Officers assisted ambulance personnel at calls on Homestead Drive, on East 4th South, on East 3rd South and on Logan Street.
Officers responded to the alley at 324 Clark of a downed power line struck by a falling tree.
Officers assisted Department of Family Services on Trona Drive.
Officers responded to Crossbow on call of a female looking in cars and she was found to have dementia. Officers later answered a call involving civil questions about the female.
Officers responded to calls of door to door sales on Apache and New Mexico. The sales persons involved have a valid business license and door to door sales are now allowed by City Ordinance unless homes are posted otherwise.
Officers assisted Probation and Parole agents by witnessing a clients’ drug tests on Commerce Way.
Officers responded to a call of an unusual odor on Bridger Drive. The odor was not present at that time and the source was not identified.
Animal Control Officers impounded a dog turned into the Animal Shelter that had been running at large.
Animal Control Officers took a report of a vicious dog at large on Clark at Jensen. No injuries were reported. The owner of the dog identified as Phillip Martinez, age 19, was issued a citation for Vicious Animal.
Animal Control officers responded to Pennsylvania Boulevard on a call of barking dogs. The owner was contacted and made arrangements to have the dogs quieted from
