Chris Steffen Chief of Police reports:


Officers responded to an address on Evers regarding a door to door sales person who ignored the posted signs prohibiting soliciting.

Officers responded to a vehicle crash at 815 Homestead.

Officers responded to a parking problem on Knotty Pine.

Animal Control Officer’s responded to the Oak Tree Inn to a report of two dogs at large. Two dogs were impounded at the animal shelter.

Officers responded to 475 South 2nd East to assist medical personnel.

Officers assisted Department of Family Services on Windriver Drive to check on the welfare of children in the residence. The children were place with a family member until the residence was cleaned up by the parent.

Officers assisted Adult Probation & Parole on Commerce Way.

Officers responded with the Fire Department to an alarm on Pennsylvania.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Waggener St. to a motorcycle hill climbing and driving around the neighborhood in a careless manner. The driver of the motorcycle was contacted.

Officers responded to an address on Riverview in regards to an assault.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Alabama in regards to an animal that was not being taken care of. The caretaker of the animal was located and the animal is being cared for.

Officers responded to Knotty Pine in regards to an alarm.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the cemetery road in regards to a possible injured dog.

Officers were dispatched to the area 599 East 4th South in regards to two male subjects causing a disturbance.

Officers were dispatched to Windriver in regards to suspicious property.

Officers were dispatched to Bridger in regards to a possible domestic dispute. Officers located the persons involved and everything was ok.

Officers were dispatched to Flaming Gorge Way in regards to an alarm.

Officers were dispatched to East Flaming Gorge in regards to a REDDI Report driving east towards Rock Springs. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

Daniel Eli Bernal age 24 of Rock Springs, was arrested for Public Intoxication.

Zachery Doug Kilpack age 25 of Kemmerer, was arrested for Public Intoxication.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Railroad and 1st West in regards to subjects in the alley causing a disturbance.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Cumorah regarding loud music. The music was coming from the FGD’s concert.

Brian Casey Slaugh age 20 from Manila was cited for underage consumption.

Officers responded to the parking area at 1400 Bridger to a possible fight. The incident was over and persons involved had left prior to Officers arrival.

Officers responded to the area of 1400 Bridger in reference to two males on bicycles possibly harassing females. No subjects on bikes were located.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Conestoga Lane regarding a possible ongoing dispute. One of the subjects had locked themselves out of their house, there were no problems.

Officers were dispatched to Evers Park at 0100 hours on June 29th. A vendor at the Flea Market who was spending the night near his booth heard noises and observed three girls crawl out from under his booth, all were carrying property from inside his booth. He was able to grab one of the girls as the other two ran off. Officers identified the young girl as a runaway from Evanston. She was placed in the County Detention Center. The identity of one of the other young girls is known, the investigation in ongoing.

Officers were dispatched to a local tavern regarding a customer who was causing problems, he was taken to a local motel where he had previously secured a room.

Officers were dispatched to the Oak Tree Inn regarding a subject causing problems. Officers arrived and the problem had been resolved.

Officers responded to the Oak Tree in regards to stolen property. Officers arrived and contacted the reporting person and ultimately found the property that was reported stolen. An assault report was then reported by the person accused of stealing the property.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Iowa and Iowa Circle in regards to a dog at large.

Officers responded to an address on Barnhart in regards to a dog at large, the dog was returned to the owner.

Officers responded to Sundance in reference to a dog running at large.

Officers responded to motorcycles speeding up and down Riverview.

Officers were dispatched to assist medical personnel at Crossbow.

Officers were dispatched to west 2nd North regarding a civil matter.

Officers investigated a crash that occurred on Shoshone.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Iowa in regards to an injured animal. The animal was not injured, but was impounded at the shelter.

Officers took a report from a subject who reported being threatened by a roommate.

Officers responded with the Fire Department to Railroad Ave regarding an alarm.

Animal Control Officers responded to the Island regarding a small dog running loose. The dog was picked up by the owner.

Officers investigated a crash at 59 Uinta.

Animal Control Officers responded to a business on Uinta regarding a report of dogs being left in a vehicle during the heat of the day.

Officers assisted medical personnel on Ironwood.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the area of the Island in regards to a dog running loose.

Officers were dispatched to a local tavern regarding a problem with a customer. The customer had left prior to the Officers arrival.

Officers responded to a parking problem on Keith Drive.

Animal Control Officers responded to Schultz Street in reference to a dog at large.

Officers responded to a traffic complaint on Wyoming.

Animal Control Officers responded to East Teton to pick up a dead animal.

Officers received a report of persons in the river or along the river that appeared to need help. Those people were located and everything was determined to be ok.

Animal Control Officers responded to East Teton in regards to a dog running at large.

Animal Control Officers responded to Flaming Gorge in regards to a dog running at large.

Animal Control Officers responded 4th East and 2nd South to a dog running at large.

Officers were dispatched to the horse corrals regarding someone wanting to shoot their horse because the horse had broken its leg. The owner took the horse to a vet in the valley.

Officers responded to the area of Schultz and Jefferson for a possible intoxicated male subject. The subject was gone when Officers arrived in the area.

Officers responded to an address on Greasewood regarding a possible domestic. Officers contacted persons involved and determined there were problems but those persons were separating to avoid continued problems.

Warren John Phillips age 20 of Marbleton, was cited for underage consumption.

Officers assisted medical personnel on 4th East.

Joshua Colt Robuck age 23 of LaBarge, was cited for Contributing Alcohol to a minor.

Kaylyn Lee Thoman age 19 of LaBarge, was cited for Underage Consumption of Alcohol.

Officers received a report of a subject violating a court order per a restraining order. Reporting person did not wish to file any complaint against the violator.

Jordan William Rood age 18 of Rock Springs, was cited for Underage Consumption.

Shalee Jean Simmons age 30 of West Haven Utah, was arrested for Public Intoxication.

Ryan J Behling age 35 of Billings Montana, was arrested for Public Intoxication.

Officers responded to Railroad Ave in reference to a passed out female lying on the ground. Subject was given a ride by friends.

Brian Richard Olsen age 26 of Rock Springs, was arrested for Public Intoxication.

Officers responded to Wilson Street in reference to a barking dog.

Officers received a report of a lost tennis bracelet at Evers Park.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Kentucky regarding a male subject laying in the yard. The male subject was assisted by residents of that address.

Officers responded to a 911 call from a local business, everything was ok.

Officers responded to an address on Buckboard Lane in regards to a domestic assault. The complaint was referred to the Sweetwater County Prosecutor’s Office for review.


Officers assisted medical personnel on Clark St.

Officers responded to Penny’s Diner regarding a disturbance.

Officers were dispatched to Oak Tree Inn regarding people acting suspicious and car alarms going off in the parking lot.

Officers responded to the alley behind the Krazy Moose to a male subject sleeping in the alley.

Officers responded to a parking problem in FMC Park.

Officers responded to an address on Cedar where the resident reported a male subject had been sleeping in the residents truck during the night.

Animal Control Officers responded to Bramwell to a dog running at large.

Officers responded to 98 Uinta Dr to an ongoing domestic.

Officers assisted medical personnel at the Maverik.

Officers assisted medical personnel on Clark St.

Officers received a report from a concerned parent from out of the area that she had not heard from her son after the concert. Subject was later located and was ok.

Officers conducted a civil stand by on Logan.

Officers assisted medical personnel on 5th South.

Dever Alan Weskamp age 29 of Fort Collins was arrested for Public Intoxication.

Officers took a complaint of a person receiving a call from a company stating they were able to help him reduce the interest rate on his Cabela’s credit card. The subject gave pertinent information regarding his account before he realized the call was probably fraudulent call. The Green River Police Department reminds people to not give any personal information, any account information, send any money to anyone they do not know. If you ever have any concerns about phone solicitations get a call back number and contact the Police Department.

Deborah Gardea age 52 of Green River, was arrested for suspicion of driving while under the influence of a controlled substance.

Jonathon Joseph Ratcliff was arrested for driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor.
