Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The following events were reported on July 12, 2013:


Officers were dispatched to an address on South 5th East, in reference to property damage. Several dumpsters had been spray painted, Investigation ongoing.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Greasewood regarding a citizen assist.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched an address on Pennsylvania due to a complaint of a barking dog.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton, regarding a baby fawn living in the area.

Officers investigated a parking complaint on Nolan Street.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Juniper Street, in reference to a parking complaint.

Officers responded to a residential alarm call on Alamosa Circle. It was determined that it was accidental.

Officers and Ambulance personnel were dispatched to an address on Mansface Drive, in reference to a medical alarm. It was discovered that it was accidental.

Officers assisted Probation and Parole on Commerce Drive with the arrest of George Moore, 29 years old from Rock Springs. Moore was arrested for Probation Violation.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Connecticut for a squirrel in a trap.

Officers were dispatched to an address on 3rd North, in reference to a Hit & Run accident that was reported. Investigation ongoing.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the area of North Center and 3rd North, in reference to a couple dogs at large.

Officers and Ambulance personnel were dispatched to an address on Idaho Street, in reference to an 18 year old male with stomach pains.

Officers were dispatched the UPRR train depot, in reference to a group of transients trespassing on the UPRR property. Subjects were located and issued trespass warnings for the property.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched 98 Uinta Drive, in reference to a skunk in a trap.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Crossbow Drive, in reference to a cat in a trap.

Officers were dispatched an address on East Teton, in reference to a citizen assist.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched an address on East 4th South, in reference to a dog at large.

Officers and Ambulance Personnel were dispatched to an address on Clark Street, in reference to an extremely intoxicated subject throwing up. Subject refused transport to the hospital.


The following events were reported on July 13, 2013:


Officers were dispatched to an address on Trona Drive, in reference to a barking dog complaint. Officers were unable to locate the barking dog upon arrival.

Officers assisted a lost truck driver, On West 2nd South, that could not find their way back to the Interstate.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilderness Trail, in reference to a parking complaint.

Officers and Ambulance Personnel were dispatched to an address on Indian Hills, in reference to a 22 year old female that was possibly having a seizure.

Officers were dispatched the area of 775 West 3rd North, in reference to suspicious activity. Upon further investigation in the area, Officers located Ricardo Marin, 18 years of age, who had a valid warrant for his arrest, for a Probation Violation. Marin was arrested and transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Facility.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Penny’s Diner, in reference to a dog at large.

Officers and Ambulance Personnel were dispatched the Coachman Motel, in reference to an elderly male in extreme pain. Subject was transported by ambulance.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Trona Drive regarding a missing dog.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Midwest Drive, in reference to a cat at large.

Officers and Ambulance Personnel were dispatched to an address on Texas Way, in reference to an elderly female that was possibly having a heart attack.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched a dog at large on Tigee Circle.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Windriver Drive, in reference to a possible Burglary. It was determined to be unfounded.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Shoshone at West Teton, in reference to a dog at large.

Officers and Ambulance personnel were dispatched to an address on Nebraska Drive, for a report of a female possibly having a seizure.

Officer and Ambulance personnel were dispatched to an apartment at 1400 Bridger Drive, for a female that keeps passing out. The reporting party was the female’s 6 year old daughter, patient was transported.

Officers were dispatched to the area of West 2nd South for a dog at large.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to Colorado Drive in reference to a dog at large.

Officers were dispatched to an apartment at the 420 Wilkes Drive apartment complex, in regards to a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Monroe Avenue, in reference to a dog at large.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Hitching Post, in reference to a report of a sexual assault. Investigation ongoing.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Astle and Uinta Drive, in reference to a dog at large.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Colorado Drive for a dog at large.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton, regarding a possible fraud by phone.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Bramwell and Astle, in reference to a dog at large.

The following events were reported on July 14, 2013:


Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton, in reference to a residential alarm. It was determined to be an accident.

Officers and Ambulance Personnel were dispatched to an address on Nolan Street, in regards to a female possibly going into labor. Subject was transported by ambulance.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, regarding a subject removal.

Officers were dispatched to an address on South Wagonwheel, in reference to a disturbing the peace complaint. The subject was contacted and advised to go back inside their residence.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Virginia Drive, regarding a barking dog complaint.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Trona Drive, in reference to a barking dog complaint.

Officers were dispatched to the Sweet Dreams Inn parking lot, regarding a two (2) vehicle crash, no injuries were reported at that time.

Officers were dispatched to Penny’s Diner, in reference to found property.

Officers were dispatched to the Oak Tree Inn, in regards to a larceny. Investigation ongoing.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Wyoming Drive, regarding a civil matter. Both parties were advised.

Officers were dispatched back to an address on South Wagonwheel, regarding a neighbor dispute. One of the parties involved was given a trespass warning for the property.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Teton, in reference to a barking dog complaint.

Officers were dispatched to an address on South Wagonwheel, regarding a noise complaint. Subject at the address was advised.

Officers responded to an address on Arizona Drive, in reference to a barking dog complaint.

Officers responded to an address on East 4th South, where a wallet was located in a yard. The owner of the wallet was contacted and reunited with their property.

Officers were dispatched to the area of South 5th East, regarding a possible domestic assault that had just taken place. During the investigation, it was determined that both parties had physically assaulted one another. Report was written and forwarded to the County Attorney’s Office to file charges.

Officers responded to Monroe Intermediate School, regarding a possible alarm going off inside. School was checked and everything appeared to be okay.
