The following events were reported on July 22, 2013:
While investigating a complaint of a nuisance animal on Virginia, Officers learned an arrest warrant had been issued for the owner of the animals. Officers arrested Tammi Kay Briley 33 years old of Green River for Contempt of Court. The arrest warrant was issued by the Honorable Judge Jason Petri of the Green River Municipal Court. She was booked into the Sweetwater County Detention Center.
Officers assisted Probation and Parole Agents on Commerce, and subsequently arrested Anthony Jacob Maestas age 30 from Rock Springs, for violating the conditions of his probation. He was booked into the Sweetwater County Detention Center.
Officers took a report of a criminal entry at 1400 Bridger. A person identified as a suspect was located and interviewed and acknowledged involvement.
Officers took a report from a resident making arrangement to purchase a vehicle they found for sale on Craigslist. Arrangements were made to pay a total of $2069 for the vehicle and to have it shipped from New York. After making the payment for the vehicle they realized it was a scam and they were out the $2069 and the vehicle. The Green River Police Department reminds citizens of the ease which they can be tricked when doing business online, and to double check all transactions when purchasing items listed for sale on the various web sites.
Officers investigated a crash at Hitching Post and Upland. Samantha Shisler age 19 of Green River was cited for Inattentive Driving.
Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at 98 Uinta. While at that location Officers learned there were two outstanding arrest warrants for one of the persons involved. Jared Scott Ramon age 42 was arrested on two warrants, one issued from the Green River Municipal Court for Contempt of Court, and one issued from the Rock Springs Municipal Court for Contempt of Court. He was booked into the Sweetwater County Detention Center.

Officers responded to an alarm on Hutton St.
ACO’s responded to an address on Elk Valley Drive for a snake.
ACO’s responded to the area of Hitching Post and Anvil for three dogs running loose.
Officers responded to a local business regarding questions about repossessing a vehicle.
Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post for an abandoned vehicle.
Officers received a REDDI report of a vehicle exiting the interstate. The vehicle was located and observed to be driving erratically and stopped. The erratic driving was determined to be a result of age.
Officers responded to an address on Railroad Ave for a parking complaint.
Officers conducted a civil standby on 2nd South.
ACO’s responded to the area of the Horse Corrals for a report of a coyote.
Officers assisted a citizen on 2nd North.
Officers received a report of possible gas siphoning from vehicles on Knotty Pine.
Officers responded to the area of the south end of 2nd East for a Fawn stuck and needing assistance.
Officers responded to 7th West for a disturbance.
Officers assisted medical personnel on Arapahoe Cr.
