Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The following events were reported on July 29, 2013:


Officers took a report of window being stolen out of a camp trailer parked on Wind River Dr.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Flaming Gorge Way regarding an unresponsive male. The subject was deceased. The death is under investigation.

A spare tire was located at the intersection of 4th West and Flaming Gorge and booked into property. Anyone missing a spare tire that can identify the tire can retrieve the tire from the Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to a disturbance on Miller St.

Officers tagged multiple vehicles as abandoned in the area of South Carolina and Virginia Dr.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Monroe regarding one child assaulting another.

ACO’s picked up a skunk in a trap on Faith Dr.

Officers were dispatched to a medical alarm on Mansface St which turned out to be accidental.

Kathy Mae Barney age 56 from Green River was arrested at a local Motel for Child Endangering and Possession of a controlled substance/methamphetamine. The Green River Police Department canine was used to provide assistance in locating the suspect narcotics. Barney was booked into the Sweetwater County Detention Center.

ACO’s picked up a dog at large in the area of Expedition Island.

ACO’s responded to an address on West Teton regarding a bat.

Officers assisted Probation and Parole agents on Commerce Way.


ACO’s were dispatched to an address on Wilkes regarding two large dogs running loose.

ACO’s were dispatched to an address on Miller St regarding a dog at large.

Officers responded to Expedition Island for a found litter of kittens.

ACO’s responded to an address on Iowa St for an animal problem.

Officers were dispatched to the Scotts Bottom area for a black Mustang car driving at a high rate of speed.

Officers responded to an address on Arizona for a trespassing complaint.

Officers responded to an address on Wilderness Ct for a trespassing complaint.
