Officers completed VIN inspections on Powell, E Teton, Alamosa, Evers, Uinta, Arapahoe, Clark, Hitching Post, and the Police Department.

Officers responded to a call on Uinta in reference to a possible assault. The incident was found to have occurred in another jurisdiction. The report was forwarded to the respective agency.

Animal Control Officers made attempts to catch a dog at large on Upland. The dog was described as a white poodle.

An Officer was contacted by a concerned subject in reference to possible child abuse by a subject residing in Green River. The investigation is ongoing.

Probation and Parole requested the assistance of an Officer to be a witness for a urinalysis test.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to S Wagonwheel in reference to a barking dog complaint. The investigation is ongoing.

A noise complaint was filed on Easy Street concerning problems with a rooster. Animal Control Officers were unable to make contact with the owner and a notice was posted for follow-up.

A lost property report was filed at the Police Department. The victim advised that she lost her wallet somewhere in the area of Expedition Island.

A black and gray dog was picked up by Animal Control at Evans and Uinta. The dog was returned to the owner.

Officers, and a caseworker with DFS, conducted a welfare check on a child at a residence on Sundance.

Witnesses of a hit and run at the Recreation Center reported the incident to police. The reporting parties witnessed a truck colliding with a yellow Camaro in the parking lot. The truck then left the scene. The victim vehicle also left the scene. The incident is under investigation.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to a dog at large on N 1st East. The dog was not located.

Officers investigated a report of fireworks at 550 Uinta (Collier-Roosevelt Park). Officers located the juveniles involved. The juveniles were turned over to their parents.

A parking complaint was made on Hitching Post and Trail. Officers made contact with the owner and the vehicle was moved.

Animal Control Officers assisted a citizen in locating his missing bird. The bird was found in the neighbor’s tree.

Officers responded to S Wagonwheel in reference to a citizen assist and possible juvenile problem. All subjects involved were contacted and the situation was resolved.

Officers assisted several individuals with their court-ordered alcohol breath tests.

Animal Control Officers picked up a dog at large on Colorado. The dog was returned to its home on New Hampshire.

Animal Control Officers impounded a Yorkshire Terrier that was contained at a residence on Keith Dr.

Officers investigated a disturbance at 1400 Bridger. The subjects involved were gone prior to Officers arriving on scene.

Officers were dispatched to a civil dispute on Upland. The subjects involved were contacted and were given information as to the needed course of action.

A disturbance was reported on W Flaming Gorge Way. The incident was investigated and the subjects involved left the scene.


August 10, 2013

A parking complaint was made on Wilderness. The incident was investigated and the owner of the vehicle was notified of the complaint.

Officers made contact with a subject sleeping in his vehicle at 71 Uinta Drive. The subject obtained a ride home from a friend.

Jose Partida of Green River was arrested for public intoxication after creating a disturbance at 230 Shoshone and 420 Wilkes Dr.

Officers were dispatched to a barking dog complaint on Greasewood. A notice was left for the owner, who was not at home at the time.

Animal Control Officers responded to a residence on E 2nd North in reference to a continuing problem with a barking dog. They were unable to make contact with the owner and the investigation is ongoing.

Animal Control Officers investigated a report of a possible abandoned or injured dog on Fir Street.

Two Cobra tire rims were turned into the Police Department. The reporting person found them lying in the back of his truck and did not know who they belonged to or where they came from.

Jose Partida was given a trespass warning for an apartment at 230 Shoshone.

Officers responded to a residence on E Flaming Gorge Way in reference to a property dispute between neighbors. The dispute was resolved with assistance from police.

A warning was issued to the owner of a dog at large on Pelser.

Officers were dispatched to 1050 W Flaming Gorge Way (Exxon) in reference to a male subject panhandling in the parking lot, attempting to get money or gas for his vehicle. Contact was made with the subject. He was warned and subsequently left the area.

Animal Control was dispatched to a residence on Massachusetts in reference to a bat inside of the home.

Officers were requested by homeowner on Aspen to issue a trespass warning to her son and daughter-in-law. The trespass warning were issued as requested.

A threats report was taken on Cumorah Way. The victim has been receiving threatening text messages and phone calls from a subject that resides outside of Sweetwater County.

Officers were contacted concerning a welfare check on a subject that left Green River with his son after overdosing on medication. Contact was made with the subject at Sweetwater Memorial Hospital. The subject was admitted to the hospital.

A stray cat was impounded on Jefferson after it was contained in the reporting person’s yard.

An intoxicated male subject was reported on E Railroad. The subject was not located.

Officers responded to a residential alarm on Hitching Post. The residence was cleared and secured. No suspicious activity was found.

A parking complaint was reported on Cumorah. The reporting person wanted a vehicle towed due to it being parked in her designated parking space. The registered owner of the vehicle was contacted concerning the complaint.

Officers were dispatched to an address on S Wagonwheel in reference to a nuisance dog. A notice was posted on the owner’s door. The owner was eventually contacted.

Officers responded to 320 Mansface in reference to an alarm. It was determined that the fire alarm was accidentally activated.


August 11, 2013

Officers investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Massachusetts and California.

Officers assisted several subjects with court-ordered alcohol breath tests.

Animal Control Officers assisted with releasing a goose that was trapped in the soccer net at Stratton Myers Park.

Officers assisted with a custody exchange at McDonald’s.

Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call on Powell. Officers found that the call was made by some juveniles that were playing on the phone.

Officers assisted ambulance personnel at 700 Crossbow with a subject suffering from severe pain.

Animal Control Officers investigated a complaint of a subject walking two pit bulls without the use of a leash.

Officers responded to a 911 call on Utah. Further investigation determined that the call was accidental due to the homeowner’s child playing with the phone.

A civil standby was requested on S Riverbend while a prior occupant of the residence moved his belongings out.

Animal Control Officers impounded a turtle that was found on Grant Circle.

Officers responded to a residential alarm on Honor Way. The alarm was accidental and was reset by the homeowner.

Officers investigated a civil dispute on Sundance. The subjects involved were interviewed and the incident was documented.

A physical disturbance was reported on E Railroad. The subjects involved were contacted and separated.

Officers investigated a child neglect complaint that was later determined to be unfounded.

An assault and traffic collision was reported on N 7th West. The reporting person advised that his ex-girlfriend had assaulted him and then intentionally drove her vehicle into his parked car. Kansas Garcia was cited for inattentive driving and no insurance.

Officers investigated a traffic collision on Astle. The driver of the vehicle collided with a fawn deer. The deer was severely injured and had to be dispatched by Game and Fish.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Idaho in reference to a civil dispute.

Officers responded to an address on Crossbow in reference to a subject removal. The reporting person wanted a subject removed from his residence due to the subject causing a disturbance.
