Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The following events were reported on September 3rd, 2013:

Officers responded to a residence on Parkview Drive to retrieve found property from a citizen.

Officers responded to the area of 1400 Bridger Drive in reference to shots fired. The report was unfounded.

Officers responded to McDonald’s in reference to threats. An employee reported a male transient threatened her after she told him there was no more food available for the night.

Officers responded to the area of Indian Hills Drive and Shoshone Avenue in reference to shots fired. The report was unfounded.

Officers responded to the cemetery in reference to vandalism of two gravesites.

Animal Control Officers responded to the underpass for a report of a deer carcass.

Officers responded to the west entrance of Green River to assist with escorting an oversized load through town.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of North 3rd West in reference to a dog at large.

Officers responded to the area of Indian Hills Drive for a small child found wondering in the street. The mother was located and the child was returned.

Officers responded to a business on Monroe in reference to an unauthorized and unknown person living in the crawlspace of the business.

Animal Control Officers responded to a residence on Idaho Street for a contained cat.

Officers responded to Green River High School for a minor two vehicle collision with no injury.

Officers responded to a business on West Flaming Gorge Way in reference to a one vehicle collision.

Officers responded to a residence on Hillside Drive to provide a citizen with a civil standby with a subject whom she has a protection order against. Officers later returned to the residence for a report of property being taken from the residence.

Officers responded to Washington School and Monroe Intermediate School in reference to juvenile problems.

Officers responded to a residence on Uinta Drive in reference to violation of a no trespassing order.

Animal Control Officers responded to Fawn Circle in reference to a fawn with a broken leg. Game and Fish was notified.

Animal Control Officers responded to Idaho Street in reference to a dog at large.

Officers responded to a residence on East Teton Boulevard in reference to a physical domestic dispute. A report was completed and will be reviewed by the County Attorney’s Office.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on West Flaming Gorge Way that resulted in the arrest of 35 year old Jermey Maestas, who was determined to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Maestas was transported to the detention center and will face the charges in court.

Officers responded to the Union Pacific Depot building in reference to criminal entry and trespassing.

Animal Control Officers responded to a residence on Apache Avenue to assist a citizen who had a bat in her house.

Officers provided a citizen on Shoshone Avenue a civil standby while he retrieved some property from a residence.

Officers responded to a residence on Lombard Street for a report of a skunk in a trap.
