Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The following events were reported on September 6th, 7th & 8th, 2013:

Officers responded to a residence on Hillcrest Drive for a report of a barking dog.

Officers located open doors at businesses on Flaming Gorge Way and Uinta Drive. The businesses was secured and the owners were notified.

Officers responded to a residence on Sundance Drive for a carbon monoxide alarm.

Officers responded to the area of Iowa Circle and Upland Way for a report of a suspicious male, who was talking to himself and possibly intoxicated. Upon arrival, the subject had already left the area, and officers were unable to locate him.

Animal Control Officers responded to a residence on Blake Street for a report of a parrot in a tree.

Officers responded to a residence on Mississippi Street for a report of harassment.

Officers responded to The Maverik in reference to a gas skip. The officer was able to locate the driver of the vehicle and it was determined to be accidental. The driver returned to The Maverik and paid for his fuel.

Officers responded to a residence on Waggener Street in reference to several juveniles possibly smoking cigarettes and marijuana outside of the residence. The parents of the juveniles were notified.

Officers were called to a residence on Flaming Gorge Way to take a report of a lost wallet. The owner apparently set her wallet on top of her vehicle and drove away. Officers were cancelled soon afterwards due to the wallet being located and returned by a citizen.

Officers responded to a residence on Railroad Avenue in reference to property destruction on a vehicle that was parked in the alleyway.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of the Convalescent Center for a report of a fawn with a possible broken leg. Game and Fish were notified of the concern.

Officers were dispatched to a residence on Barnhart Street in reference to property destruction.

Officers responded to an alarm at a business on Uinta Drive. Everything was determined to be okay.

Officers responded to a residence on Railroad Avenue to assist with a family dispute.

Officers responded to a residence on East Teton Boulevard for a report of harassment. A report was written and one of the parties involved was issued a trespass warning.

Officers were called to a residence on Crossbow Drive in reference to an incident of battery. A male reportedly entered a residence and physically assaulted another male. Statements were received from all of the involved parties and a report was written. The report will be forwarded to the County Attorney’s Office for review and possible prosecution.

Officers were called to the Union Pacific Railroad Depot in reference to subject removals of three male transients who were trespassing.

Officers assisted EMS on Crossbow Street with an elderly female who was not feeling well.

Officers responded to a report of a Hit and Run on North 2nd West. No suspect vehicle description is available at this time.

Officers responded to a residence on Riverview Drive for a report of a found purse. The purse was later returned to the owner.

Officers responded to Taco Time in reference to a subject removal on an intoxicated male who was being uncooperative with employees. Officers escorted 42 year old Danny Sanchez out of the restaurant. Shortly afterwards, Sanchez was again contacted by officers, who found him sleeping in an alleyway near the restaurant. Sanchez was subsequently issued a citation and placed under arrest for Public Intoxication. He was transported to the detention center and will face the charges in court at a later date.

Officers responded to a location on Flaming Gorge Way for a report of a minor two vehicle crash with no injuries.

Officers responded to the area of East 4th South for a report of a suspicious male, wearing no shirt, knocking on several residential doors in the area. The subject was no longer in the area when officers arrived on scene.

Officers responded to an apartment complex on Wilkes Drive to assist with a tenant dispute.

Officers assisted EMS with an elderly male on Hillside Drive who was not breathing well.

Officers responded to a residence on Alamosa Street in reference to an accidental 911 call.

Animal Control Officers responded to multiple dog at large complaints on North 6th West, Bridger Drive, Monroe Avenue, Arizona Street, North 1st West and Expedition Island.

Officers assisted numerous citizens with VIN inspections on Ironwood Street, East 5th South, Flaming Gorge Way and at the Police Department.
