Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The following events were reported on September 13, 2013:


Officers were dispatched to an address on Juniper Street, in reference to a parking complaint.

Officers responded to an address on Ridge Crossing, in regards to a welfare check.

School Resource Officers were dispatched to Monroe Intermediate School, in reference to a juvenile problem.

Officers responded to the Senior Center, in regards to a citizen assist.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Scott’s Bottom Road and Alexandria Circle, in reference to a dog at large.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Fallview Drive and Cliffview Drive, in regards to a parking complaint.

Officers responded to an address on North 5th West, in reference to a report of suspicious circumstances.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Idaho Street, in regards to a small child riding a dirt bike on the sidewalk. The subject and the subject’s parent were contacted and advised.

Officers attempted to serve an arrest warrant, on a subject that lives on Cumorah Way. This attempt was unsuccessful.

Officers responded to the area of Monroe Avenue and Jefferson Street, in reference to a noise complaint.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Maryland Drive, in regards to a report of credit card fraud.

Officers attempted to serve an arrest warrant on a subject, who lived on East 3rd South, this attempt was unsuccessful.

Officers investigated a report of shots fired on McKinley Street. Upon arriving in the area, Officers were unable to locate the source of the call.

Officers were dispatched to the Sweet Dreams Inn Motel, in reference to a citizen assist.


The following events were reported on September 14, 2013:


Officers responded to an address on East 3rd South, regarding a subject with a warrant. Upon arriving, Officers made contact with 44 year old Aaron David Murphy. Murphy was advised of the warrant and was placed under arrest. Upon arriving at the jail, Murphy was booked in on the charges of Burglary and Larceny.

Officers responded to the area of Arizona Street, in reference to a REDDI report. Officer were unable to locate the vehicle.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Shoshone Avenue, in reference to a parking complaint.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the area of Expedition Island, regarding a dog at large call.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in reference to a dog bite report. The information was gathered and the dog was taken to the Animal Shelter for quarantine.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Shoshone Avenue, in regards to a parking complaint.

Officers responded to an address on South Wagonwheel Drive, in reference to citizen assist.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on East 3rd South, in regards to a possible cougar sighting within city limits.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Conestoga Lane, in reference to a dog at large.

Officers were dispatched to the Police Department lobby, in regards to a citizen assist.

Officers responded to an address on North 2nd East, in reference to an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle in question was tagged.

Officers were dispatched to the Police Department lobby, in regards to a report of found property. A lunch pail with prescription medication was found on the Interstate and booked into the Police Department Evidence room.

Officers responded to an address on Faith Drive, in reference to a residential burglary alarm. It was determined that the alarm was accidental.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Doe Drive, in regards to a citizen assist.

Officers responded to an address on Cumorah Way, in reference to a group of kids and one adult shooting pellet guns and BB guns, around the apartment complex. The parties involved were warned of the city ordinance permitting such activity.

Officers were dispatched to the area of West Flaming Gorge Way and North 5th West, in regards to a parking complaint.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a dog at large.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on West 2nd North, regarding an injured bird.

Officers responded to the area of Stratton Myers Park, in reference to a juvenile problem.

Officers were dispatched to the area of East Teton Boulevard at Wyoming Drive, in regards to a dog at large.

Officers responded to the area of the river bridge and the County Road and Bridge office, in reference to a possible sighting of escaped convict, Kenneth Ward. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate any individuals, matching that description.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Hillcrest Drive, in regards to a report of malicious mischief.

Officers responded to the Green River Animal Shelter, in reference to an individual locating a dog, which was running down the street.

Officers were dispatched to the area of East Teton Boulevard and Monroe Avenue, in regards to a REDDI report. Officers were unable to locate the suspected vehicle.

Officers and Ambulance Personnel responded to an address on Singletree Drive, regarding an elderly female not feeling well.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Hackberry Street and Ironwood Drive, in reference to a barking dog complaint.

Officers and Ambulance Personnel responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, regarding a female that had fallen and hit her head.

Officers were dispatched to the area of East Teton Boulevard and Colorado Drive, in reference to a juvenile problem.

The following events were reported on September 15, 2013:


Officers responded to West Flaming Gorge Way and North 5th West, regarding a two (2) vehicle accident.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Daniel Boone Drive, in reference to a noise complaint.

Officers responded to an address on Blake Street, in regards to a verbal domestic.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle, in the area of East 2nd South, in reference to a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the driver, 25 year old John Bingham of Green River, it was ultimately determined that Bingham was driving while Under the Influence. Bingham was later arrested and transported to the Detention Facility, where he was booked in on the above mentioned charges. This report was forwarded to the County Attorney’s Office for review.

Officers responded to the area of West 2nd North and North 2nd West, regarding a parking complaint.

Officers investigated a parking complaint on North 5th West.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Hillcrest Drive, in reference to a parking complaint.

Officers responded to the area of Stratton Myers Park, in regards to a couple subjects that appeared to be camping in their car. The subjects were contacted and advised of the city ordinance.

Officers responded to the Sweet Dreams Hotel, in reference to a citizen assist.

Officers and Ambulance Personnel were dispatched to the area of West 4th North, in reference to a pregnant female who had passed out.

Officers responded to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in regards to a parking complaint.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the area of South Center and 3rd South, in reference to a dog at large.

Officers responded to the area of East Flaming Gorge Way and Buckaroos Restaurant, in regards to a juvenile problem.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Trona Drive, in reference to an abandoned 911 call. It was later determined to be problems with the phone line.

Officers and Ambulance Personnel responded to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to a baby that had struck its head on a coffee table.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Connecticut Drive, in reference to a report of suspicious circumstances.

Officers and Ambulance Personnel responded to an address on Powell Street, regarding an elderly female, possibly taking the wrong medication.
