Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:


The following events were reported on October 1, 2013:


Officers were dispatched to the area of East 4th South, in reference to a citizen assist.

Officers responded to an address on West 3rd North, regarding a report of Criminal Entry. This case is currently under investigation.

Officers assisted a subject at the Police Department, with questions about a civil matter.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Crossbow Drive, in reference to an alarm call.

Animal Control Officers responded to the skate park, regarding a dog at large.

Officers were dispatched to an address on North Riverbend, in reference to a report of fraud.

Officers responded to the area of Alabama Drive and East Teton Boulevard, regarding a crossing guard violation.

Officers were dispatched to the Uinta Drive Loaf and Jug, in reference to a possible REDDI report.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, regarding a missing child. The child was ultimately located and it was determined that the child got on the wrong bus after leaving school.

Officers performed VIN checks at several locations, including several at the Police Department, Moran Drive and an address on East 4th South.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Jefferson Street, in reference to a barking dog complaint.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, regarding a report of threats.

Animal Control Officers were notified of a dog at large on East Railroad Avenue.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Scott’s Bottom Road, in reference to a possible juvenile fight.

Officers responded to the Riverview Cemetery, regarding a report of suspicious activity.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Railroad Avenue, in reference to a possible fight, between two (2) intoxicated males.

While conducting a traffic stop, for an equipment violation, Officers made contact with 51 year old Roger Wood of Green River. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that Wood was operating a vehicle while being under the influence. Wood was subsequently arrested for DUI and later transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Facility.
