Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:


The following events were reported on October 2, 2013:


Officers were dispatched to the Police Department lobby, in reference to a report of fraud.

The GRPD Nuisance Ordinance Officer responded to an address on Riverview Drive, regarding a nuisance violation.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Evans Drive, in reference to a dog at large.

Officers responded to an address on East 2nd South, regarding a destruction of property report. This case is currently being investigated.

Officers were dispatched to the area of the river bridge and McDonald’s, in reference to a report of suspicious activity.

Officers and Ambulance Personnel responded to an address on East 2nd South, regarding a welfare check, of an elderly male not breathing.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Monroe Avenue, in reference to a report of stalking.

Officers responded to an address on East 3rd South, regarding a report of a dog biting a small child.

Officers were dispatched to the Police Department lobby, in reference to a possible internet scam.

Officers responded to the area of Monroe Avenue and Andrews Park, regarding a small child that was playing in the street and was also by itself at the park. The child was located by Officers and re-united with their family.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Shoshone Avenue, in reference to a couple of abandoned vehicles that need towed.
Officers responded to an address on Trail Drive, regarding a suspicious circumstances report.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Aspen Street, regarding a neighborhood dispute.

Officers responded to an address on Clark Street, in reference to information pertaining to a current runaway.
