Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:


The following events were reported on October 9, 2013:


Officers responded to an address on Apache Avenue, regarding an abandoned 911 call. Upon arrival, Officers determined it had been caused by line problems.

Officers were dispatched to the Green River Animal Shelter, in reference to a found kitten in a mailbox.

Officers responded to the Sweetwater County Detention Facility, where they transported a prisoner from the jail, to Municipal Court.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Conestoga Lane, in reference to a welfare check.

Officers responded to an address on South Wagonwheel, regarding a report of an internet scam. The victim reported sending money to the suspect, in hopes to receive a large sum of money.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilkes Drive, in reference to a contained bird.

Officers responded to an address on Elm Street, regarding an audible fire alarm. Upon arriving, it was determined to be an accidental alarm.

A Nuisance Ordinance Officer responded to a business on Bridger Drive, in reference to a violation of the nuisance ordinance.

A Nuisance Ordinance Officer responded to a residence on Riverview Drive, in reference to a violation of the nuisance ordinance.

Officers were dispatched to an address on North Wagonwheel Drive, regarding a report of an abandoned vehicle.

A set of keys, that were located in the area of Hutton Drive and Easy Street, were turned in to the Police Department as found property.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Greasewood Street, in reference to a report of suspicious circumstances.

Officers responded to the Sweetwater County Courthouse, in regards to an abandoned 911 call. It was determined that the call was accidental.

Officers and Fire Personnel were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a fire alarm. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the alarm was accidental.

Officers attempted to serve court paperwork, at an address on Daniel Boone Drive.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Monroe Avenue, in reference to a dog at large.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Trail Drive, in regards to an Agency Assist for the Rock Springs Police Department.

Officers responded to Adult Probation and Parole, in reference to an arrest and hold order. Upon arrival, Officers placed 22 year old Kelsi Egbert under arrest and transported her to the Sweetwater County Detention Facility.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Upland Way, in regards to a two (2) vehicle accident, with no injuries.

Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to an auto burglary. This case is currently being investigated by the Green River Police Department Detective Division.
