The following events were reported on October 16, 2013:
Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Uinta Drive for speeding. During the course of the investigation, Officers observed the driver, 34 year old George Haapala, had an open container of alcohol in his vehicle. Haappala was subsequently arrested for the offense and was transported to the Detention Facility.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Washington Street, in reference to a residential burglar alarm. Upon arrival, Officers discovered the alarm was accidental.
Officers responded to the Sweetwater County Detention Facility, where they transported two (2) prisoners from the jail, to Municipal Court in Green River.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East 2nd North, in reference to a parking complaint.
Officers responded to Adult Probation and Parole, regarding an arrest and hold order. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with 42 year old Becky Chapman. Chapman was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the jail.
Officers were dispatched back to Adult Probation and Parole, to witness a urine analysis test.
Officers responded to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a parking complaint.
School Resource Officers investigated a traffic crash at the Green River High School, involving two (2) vehicles.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Hutton Street and Lombard Street, in reference to a parking complaint.
Officers assisted the Rock Springs Police Department, in attempting to locate a subject that was involved in a larceny in Rock Springs, earlier in the day.
Officers responded to an address on Iowa Avenue, in reference to an agency assist with the Wyoming Department of Family Services.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Greasewood Street, in reference to a dog at large.
Officers responded to an address on Barnhart Street, regarding a report of suspicious circumstances. The reporting person advised she heard somebody knocking on the back door to her residence.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Iowa Avenue, in reference to a suspicious door to door salesman.
Officers responded to an address on West Virginia Street, regarding an abandoned 911 call. Upon arrival, Officers discovered it had been line problems.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a noise complaint.
Officers responded to the Union Pacific Railroad rail yard, regarding several transients trespassing. Officers were unable to locate the transients.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Arkansas Street, in reference to a barking dog complaint.
Officers responded to an address on Riverview Drive, regarding a noise complaint.
