Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The following events were reported on October 28, 2013:

Officers responded to an address on Crossbow Drive in reference to a request for a Subject Removal.

Officers responded to the Police Department Lobby in reference to a report of Found Property.

Officers responded to the School District #2 Bus Barn in reference to a report of a vehicle Passing a School Bus.

Officers responded to the Police Department Lobby in reference to a Citizen Assist.

Officers responded to an address on South Dakota Street in reference to Civil Issues.

Officers responded to Shoshone Avenue in reference to a report of an Abandoned Vehicle. The vehicle was tagged for five day parking.

Officers responded to Probation and Parole in reference to an Agency Assist.

Officers responded to an address on Fir Street in reference to a report of a Juvenile Problem.

Officers responded to an address on Ridge Crossing in reference to a report of Threats.

Officers responded to an address on Conestoga Lane in reference to a Vehicle Accident.

Officers responded to an address on Wind River Drive in reference to a report of a Fire.

Officers responded to an address on North Center Street in reference to a report of Accidental Property Damage.

Officers assisted Ambulance Personnel on East 3rd South Street.

Officers responded to an address on Pennsylvania Avenue in reference to a Citizen Assist.

Officers completed VIN Inspections on Crossbow Drive and Elk Mountain Drive.
Animal Control Officers responded to reports of Dogs at Large on Arizona Street and Crossbow Drive.

Officers responded to the Loaf & Jug Convenient Store on East Flaming Gorge Way in reference to a report of a Vehicle Accident. Daphne Bybee, age 31, left her vehicle in gear when she began to walk into the store. As Bybee was walking into the store, she saw her vehicle rolling forward. Bybee got back into the vehicle in order to stop it. Instead of pressing the brake pedal, Bybee pressed the gas pedal causing the vehicle to drive through the front doors of the store. No one was injured during the incident. Bybee was issued a Citation for Failure to Set Parking Brake Upon Leaving a Vehicle Unattended.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on vehicle on Uinta Drive for not having the vehicle registration displayed. The passenger of the vehicle, Ashley Brewer, age 27, was arrested on an arrest warrant for the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine. The driver of the vehicle, Casey Julian, age 24, was issued a Citation for Driving with a Suspended Driver’s License.
