Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The following events were reported on December 31, 2013:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Officers responded to Smith’s Food and Drug in reference to a report of a parking problem.

Officers assisted Ambulance Personnel at an address on Medicine Bow Drive.

Officers took a report of a Nuisance Property on Cedar Street.

Officers responded to an address on Hillcrest Way in reference to a civil matter.

Officers responded to an address on Mansface Street in reference to a report of a Burglary. The victim reported having property taken out of their residence.

Animal Control Officers took a report of a Nuisance Animal on Cumorah Way.

Anthony Mares, age 25, was cited for Driving While Under Suspension.

Officers responded to Hillcrest Way in reference to a custody dispute.

Chad Doak, age 22, was arrested on an active Sweetwater County Arrest Warrant for Failure to Pay on the original charge of Battery.

William Thompson, age 76, was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol.

Officers responded to an address on Cedar Street in reference to a report of a Runaway. The juvenile was later located by their parents.

Officers responded to the area of Colorado Drive in reference to a report of shots fired. Upon further investigation, Officers determined the noise was caused by fireworks.
Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive in reference to a citizen assist.

Officers took a report of someone lighting off Fireworks at an address on Mountain Fuel Station Road. The subjects were issued a warning for the violation.

Officers responded to an address on South Carolina Drive in reference to a report of a disturbance.

Officers completed VIN Inspections at the Police Department.

The following events were reported on January 1, 2014:

Officers responded to the area of Ironwood Street in reference to a report of fireworks. Officers were unable to locate the source of the fireworks.

Officers took a report of suspicious circumstances on College Way.

Officers assisted Fire Personnel at an address on West Teton Boulevard.

Officers responded to Maverik in reference to a report of a suspicious vehicle. Stephen Johnson, age 25, was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol.

Officers responded to an address on South Wagonwheel Drive in reference to a report of a disturbance.

Officers took an information report by telephone.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Virginia Drive in reference to a report of a cat in a trap. Animal Control Officers impounded the cat at the Animal Shelter.

Officers responded to Uinta Drive at Clark Street in reference to a report of a vehicle crash.

Officers assisted a citizen at an address on Maryland Drive.

Animal Control Officers responded to the Green River Horse Corrals in reference to a welfare check on a horse.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard in reference to an alarm. Upon arrival, Officers determined everything was okay and the alarm was accidental.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive in reference to an alarm. Upon arrival, Officers determined everything was okay.

Officers responded to the area of Monroe Avenue in reference to a report of shots fired. Officers checked the area and did not locate anything suspicious.

Officers responded to Smith’s Food and Drug in reference to a report of found property. A clerk at the store turned in several items that had been left at the store.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive in reference to a 911 call. Upon arrival, Officers determined everything was okay and the call was accidental.

Officers responded to an address on Barnhart Street in reference to a report of a parking problem.

Officers assisted Ambulance Personnel at an address on Uinta Drive.
