Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:


The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on January 7, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on January 8, 2014:


Officers assisted a motorist on Flaming Gorge Way.

Officers responded to an address on Wyoming Drive in reference to an abandoned vehicle.

Officers took a report of a hit and run vehicle crash on Uinta Drive.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby in reference to a report of a forgery.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive for a citizen assist.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby in reference to a civil matter concerning property issues.

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department, an address on Iowa Circle, and an address on Uinta Drive.

Officers responded to an address on West 2nd North in reference to a parking complaint.

Officers responded to an address on Tigee Circle in reference to a report of five day parking.

Officers took a report of an auto burglary that occurred on East 3rd South on January 7, 2014.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of East 2nd North and North 4th East in reference to a dog at large.

Officers responded to an address on North 2nd East for an agency assist.

Officers responded to the area of the horse corrals on East Teton Boulevard in reference to a call of a suspicious person around the trailers. Officers spoke with the individual who advised he was walking through the area.

Officers took a report of a larceny at an address on East Flaming Gorge Way.

Officers responded to the areas of Uinta Drive and South 5th East in reference to a noise complaint.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Blake Street.

Officers responded to an address on East Teton Boulevard in reference to a disturbance. The resident was contacted about the loud music complaint.

Todd Heslep, age 45, was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol.

Officers responded to an address on Wild Horse Canyon Road in reference to a fire alarm.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Pennsylvania Boulevard.
