Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:


The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on January 8, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on January 9, 2014:


Officers responded to an address on Jefferson Street in reference to an unsecured property called in by a neighbor. Officers advised everything was ok and secured the property.

Officers responded to an address on Firehole Place in reference to a welfare check.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Colorado Drive in reference to a barking dog complaint. Animal Control Officers made contact with the dog’s owners.

Officers assisted another agency at an address on North 8th West in reference to a welfare check.

Officers took a report regarding a possible phone scam at an address on Uinta Drive. It was reported a caller with an accent represented themselves over the phone as an IRS agent threatening to issue a warrant for back taxes.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Hitching Post Drive.

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department.

Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive in reference to a vehicle crash.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department in reference to a civil matter.

Officers assisted another agency at an address on Keith Drive in reference to a welfare check.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Indian Hills Drive.

Officers responded to an address on South 1st West in reference to a civil matter regarding property. Officers later responded back to the address for a civil standby.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Monroe Ave. and East Teton Boulevard in reference to a dog at large call. Animal Control Officers located a German Short Hair dog and took the animal to the Green River Animal Shelter.

Officers responded to an address on East 2nd North in reference to a welfare check.

Animal Control Officers responded to the Green River Animal Shelter to meet with an individual who wanted to turn their dog over to the shelter.

Officers responded to an address on Evans Street in reference to a civil standby.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department in reference to an agency assist.

Officers responded to the Uinta Drive at Upland Way in reference to a vehicle crash.

Officers responded to the area of South 5th East in reference a noise complaint.

Officers responded to the area of Stratton Myers Park in reference to a suspicious vehicle.

Jeary Cole, age 47, was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol.
