Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on January 14, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on January 15, 2014:


Officers responded to the Green River Police Department for questions in reference to a civil matter over shared property.

Officers responded to an address on Juniper Street in reference to a parking complaint. Officers contacted the owner of the vehicle who advised they would move the vehicle.

Officers responded to an address on Knotty Pine in reference to a parking complaint.

Officers responded to an address on West 3rd South in reference to a civil matter over property.

Officers responded to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way in reference to a fire alarm. The fire alarm was reported to be a false alarm.

Officers completed a VIN inspection at an address on South Wagonwheel Drive.

Officers responded to the area of Alabama Drive and towed a vehicle in reference to a follow up on the abandoned vehicle.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Jensen Street in reference to a welfare check on an animal.

Officers responded to the area of East 2nd South in reference to a possible fire. Contact was made with workers in the area who advised everything was okay.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Iowa Circle in reference to a contained animal. Animal Control Officers located a German Shepherd and the animal was taken to the Green River Animal Shelter.

Officers responded to an address on Wilson Street in reference to suspicious activity.

Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive in reference to a suspicious person.

Officers and Castle Rock Ambulance personnel responded to an address on Ironwood Street in reference to a welfare check.

Officers checked on an unsecured property on Hitching Post Drive.
