Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:
The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on January 30, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on January 31, 2014:
Green River Police Department Officers and Detectives located two stolen vehicles in Green River previously reported to the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office. Green River Police Department assisted the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation. During the investigation it was discovered additional crimes of attempted Grand Larceny, Auto Burglary, and Credit Card Fraud occurred in Green River. Two juveniles were taken into custody in this ongoing investigation.
Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive in reference to a business alarm. The alarm was determined to be accidental.
Officers conducted a funeral escort from an address on Hitching Post Drive to Riverview Cemetery.
Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and an address on West Teton Boulevard.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby in reference to a citizen assist.
Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive in reference to a civil standby regarding property.
Officers assisted Wyoming Probation and Parole agents at the Green River Probation and Parole Office.
Officers responded to an address on Wild Horse Canyon Road in reference to a 911 call. Upon arrival, Officers determined the call was accidental.
Officers assisted a motorist on Uinta Drive.
Officers assisted Green River Fire Department personnel at an address on Mansface Street in reference to a fire alarm.
Officers assisted Green River Fire Department personnel at an address on Stage Place in reference to a carbon monoxide alarm.
Officers responded to an address on Adams Street in reference to a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers requested Castle Rock Ambulance Service respond to assist a patient.
Officers responded to an address on East 3rd South in reference to a report of a burglary.
Officers responded to an address on Homestead in reference to a citizen assist.
Officers took a report of an assault at an address on Cedar Street.
Officers responded to an address on North 4th West in reference to a report of a verbal dispute.
Bryce Hunt, age 21, was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol and Possession of a Controlled Substance, methamphetamine. Hunt was also issued citations for Possession of Controlled Substance, spice and Use of Cell Phone While Driving.
Robert Bingham, age 22, was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol and Trespassing.
