Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on February 6, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on February 7, 2014:

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby for a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on California Way, in reference to a report of a possible scam. Officers investigated the incident and it appeared to be a company attempting to conduct phone surveys.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on West 3rd South.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Jefferson Street, regarding a report of a stray cat.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Uinta Drive in reference to a REDDI report.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on North 2nd East.

Officers on patrol recovered an item that had previously been reported stolen. The item was returned to the victim and a report completed.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Teton Boulevard in reference to a 911 call. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the caller and determined the call was accidental.

Officers completed a VIN Inspection on Jefferson Street.

Officers responded to an address on Elm Street, in reference to a report of credit card fraud. Upon arrival, Officers were made aware the victim’s bank account had been compromised. The case is being investigated by the GRPD Detective Division.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard, regarding a report of a dog at large chasing deer.

Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a two vehicle crash.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilderness Trail, regarding a report of a larceny.

Daniel Kawleski, age 24, was arrested per an active Sweetwater County warrant for; Failure to Appear on an original citation for Failure to Provide Proof of Liability Insurance.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at two different addresses on Evers Street.

Officers responded to an unsecured property at an address on Wilkes Drive. Upon arrival, Officers checked the property and were able to secure the property.
