Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:
The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on February 11, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on February 12, 2014:
Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a two vehicle crash.
Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, regarding an agency assist. Carbon County Sheriff’s Officer requested assistance in delivering a message.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in reference to a report of fraud. A resident reportedly received a phone call from a male with a Middle Eastern accent who advised the resident owed money. The residence did not send money and wanted to report the incident.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Midwest Drive, regarding a barking dog complaint.
Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and at an address on Wilson Street.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Uinta Drive, regarding a traffic complaint that occurred on the highway.
Officers responded to an address on Pennsylvania Boulevard, in reference to a report of harassing telephone calls.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Shoshone Avenue, regarding a report of suspicious activity. Upon arrival, Officers determined everything was okay.
Officers responded to an address on Wyoming Drive, in reference to a report of a larceny.
Officers completed a report of a vehicle passing a school bus violation. The report was taken from the School District #2 School Bus Yard.
Officers were dispatched to an address on South Wagonwheel Drive, regarding a report of a missing person. Shortly after Officers arrival the person returned to the residence. It was determined the person was not missing and that there had been a miscommunication.
Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a commercial alarm. Upon arrival, Officers contacted an employee and determined the alarm was accidental.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East 3rd South, regarding suspicious activity. Upon arrival, Officers requested the assistance of Castle Rock Ambulance Service.
Officers responded to an address on Clark Street, in reference to a welfare check.
Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard, regarding a report of trespassing. Upon arrival, Officers contacted persons involved and completed a trespassing report.
Officers assisted a motorist on Highway 530.
Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officer contacted an individual who was given a trespass warning for an address on Bridger Drive.
