Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:
The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on February 13, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on February 14, 2014:
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in reference to a dog (Golden Retriever) at large.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in reference to a dog (Yellow Lab) at large. Animal Control Officers took the dog to the Green River Animal Shelter.
Officers responded to Uinta Drive, regarding a report of a traffic complaint.
Officers made a traffic stop and discovered marijuana in the vehicle. Citations were issued and a juvenile was taken into custody and released to a parent.
Officers completed a report of a vehicle passing a school bus light violation. The report was taken from the School District #2 School Bus Yard.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Logan Street, in reference to a report of a small black dog at large.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Tennessee Drive, regarding an emergency lockout of a three year old locked in a vehicle.
Officers responded to an address on East 3rd South, in reference to a report of a threat. Upon arrival, Officers contacted parties involved and a trespass warning was issued to one of the parties for the property.
Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and addresses on East 3rd South and Chugwater Drive.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Logan Street, in regards to a nuisance animal complaint. Animal Control Officers posted a notice at the residence.
Officers were dispatched to an address on West 5th North, in reference to a possible missing child. The missing person was located shortly after being reported missing and it appeared a miscommunication occurred regarding after school arrangements.
Officers assisted motorists on Uinta Drive, Upland Way and Hitching Post Drive.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in reference to a possible juvenile runaway. The juvenile returned home and report was completed regarding the incident.
Animal Control Officers responded to addresses on South 5th West, in regards to reports of a dog at large and nuisance animal.
Officers completed a citizen assist by telephone, regarding questions about custody issues.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Hitching Post Drive.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Pennsylvania Boulevard, in reference to a report of a dog (Yellow Lab) at large.
Kreston Sanchez, age 35, was arrested for Public Intoxication and Open Container.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Logan Street and Schultz Street, in reference to a noise complaint.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, in regards to found property. Officers completed a report regarding found jewelry. If you recently lost jewelry contact the Green River Police Department describing the item to see if it is yours.
