Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:
The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on February 14, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on February 15, 2014:
Officers assisted a motorist on Riverview Drive.
Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and addresses on Anvil Drive, Uinta Drive, Buckboard Lane, and Washington Street.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in reference to a person with a warrant. Cortnie Carpenter, age 31, was arrested per an active Sweetwater County Warrant for Failure to Pay on a Seatbelt Violation.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East 3rd South, in regarding a report of harassment.
Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a citizen assist. The resident had questions about civil issues.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby for a citizen assist.
Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a report of a parking complaint. It was reported a vehicle was parked in a handicap parking space.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Park View Street, regarding an emergency lockout. It was reported a small child was put into the vehicle and the child accidentally locked the vehicle doors.
Officers responded to the area of Easy Circle, regarding a complaint of ATV's driving on the hill behind the homes.
Officers were dispatched to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a report of threats.
Officers responded to the area of South 2nd East, in regards to a noise complaint.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a traffic crash. Upon arrival, it was reported to Officers a vehicle was left unattended in neutral, rather than in park and rolled into a parked and unoccupied vehicle.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Schultz Street.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Clark Street, regarding a barking dog complaint. Officers posted a notice at the residence and completed a report about the incident.
Officers assisted Agents with Wyoming Probation and Parole at an address on Hackberry Street. Upon arrival, Kayla Carlson, age 31, was arrested per a Probation and Parole Arrest and Hold. While at the residence, Ingran Johnson, age 37, was arrested per three active warrants. One warrant was an active Sweetwater County Warrant for Failure to Pay on an original charge of Driving While Under the Influence and Interference with a Peace Officer and two Sweetwater County District Court warrants for Failure to Pay Child Support.
Officers were dispatched to an address on South Wagonwheel Drive, in reference to a parking complaint. It was reported a vehicle was parked in manner blocking a driveway.
Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, regarding a noise complaint.
Officers were dispatched to an address on North 8th West, in reference to a possible domestic dispute. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with parties involved and a report was completed regarding the incident.
Officers responded to the area of Hitching Post Drive, in reference to a REDDI report.
Officers were dispatched to the area of North 7th West, in reference to a report of a hit and run vehicle crash. During the investigation Officers located driver of the suspect vehicle and issued citations for Hit and Run Unattended Property and Possession of a Controlled Substance (marijuana).
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on February 15, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on February 16, 2014:
Officers responded to an address on Maryland Drive, in reference to a citizen assist.
Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in reference to a citizen assist. The resident had civil questions regarding property.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of property destruction.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Cumorah Way, in reference to a citizen assist.
Officers were responded to an address on Jensen Street, in reference to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the victim who reported a small dirt bike was stolen from the residence.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Daniel Boone.
Officers were dispatched to an address on North 4th West, in reference to a report of fraud.
Officers were dispatched to an address on North 1st East, regarding a suspicious person.
Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in reference to a citizen assist.
Officers responded to an address on Riverview Drive, regarding a welfare check. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the resident and determined everything was okay.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Moran Drive, in reference to an animal complaint.
Officers responded to an address on Wilson Street, in reference to a report of a criminal entry that reportedly occurred while the resident was not home.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilderness Trail, regarding a report of suspicious activity. The resident reported unknown persons rang the door bell and ran.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a report of suspicious activity. Upon arrival, it was reported to Officers an altercation occurred earlier in the evening but the individual refused to give any further information.
Officers responded to an address on California Drive, in reference to a report of suspicious activity after a residential alarm went off.
Officers responded to the alley south of Flaming Gorge Way, regarding a disturbance.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Crossbow Drive, in reference to a 911 call with the caller asking for someone to call a parent. Upon arrival, Officers determined everything was okay and a family member had arrived at the residence to assist the caller.
Cindi Watkins, age 31, was arrested per an active Sweetwater County Warrant for Failure to Appear on an original charge of Failure to Maintain Liability Insurance and No Valid Registration.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to an alarm. Upon arrival, the building was secure and Officers walked through the building when a responsible party arrived. Everything was reported to be okay.
Officers responded to an unsecured property at an address on Uinta Drive. Upon arrival, Officers checked the property and it appeared to be okay.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Crossbow Drive, in reference to a report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the individual and assisted them back to their apartment.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on February 16, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on February 17, 2014:
Officers responded to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a report of a parking complaint. A vehicle was tagged for five day parking.
Officers responded to an address on South 2nd East in reference to a found property. A bicycle was found and taken to the Green River Police Department. If you lost a bicycle, contact the Green River Police Department with a description of your bicycle to see if it’s yours.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Jefferson Street, in reference to an animal at large call.
Officers responded to an address on Maryland Drive, in reference to a citizen assist.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in regards to a parking complaint.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a commercial alarm. Officer checked the area and everything appeared okay.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Shoshone Avenue, in reference to a report of a nuisance animal.
Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in reference to a residential alarm. Officers contacted the resident at the address it was determined to be a false alarm.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Virginia Drive, in reference to a civil issue regarding questions about child custody.
Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in reference to a citizen assist.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Medicine Bow Drive, in reference to a traffic complaint.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Logan Street, in reference to suspicious activity. The reporting party observed individuals trying to get into vehicles. Officers began investigating reports of auto burglaries in the area. The case is currently under investigation with victims still being identified.
Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a commercial alarm. Upon arrival, Officers found the property to be secure and a responsible party was contacted.
