Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:
The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on March 5, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on March 6, 2014:
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Indian Hills Drive, in regards to a barking dog complaint.
Officers were dispatched to the Adult Green River Probation and Parole Office, in reference to an agency assist.
Officers responded to an address on Commerce Way, in regards to a citizen assist.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance Service at an address on Colorado Circle.
Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East 4th South; in reference to an emergency lockout concerning two small children who were accidentally locked in a vehicle. Upon arrival, Officers unlocked the vehicle and the children were okay.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Iowa Avenue, in reference to information regarding a possible trespassing issue.
Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to a report of a larceny. The business reported an individual left without paying for fuel. Officers located the individual and the issue was resolved.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in reference to a citizen assist.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilderness Court, in reference to a report of a missing person. Upon further investigation, the individual was located, found to be okay and not missing.
Officers responded to an address on Colorado Drive, in reference to a report of found narcotics.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a found dog.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East 4th South, in reference to a report of an assault. Upon arriving, Officers contacted parties involved in the incident and a report was written.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in regards to a report of an attempted scam. The reporting party received a letter of a person representing themselves as a law firm. The law firm was looking for a next of kin for an individual who passed away leaving millions of dollars unclaimed in an African bank account. The reporting party did not respond or give any personal information.
Officers made two separate reports of a vehicle passing a school bus light violation. The report was taken from the School District #2 School Bus Yard.
Animal Control Officers responded to the area of South 5th East, in reference to a report of a dog at large near a school bus stop.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Elm Street, in regards to a report of a barking dog complaint.
Officers responded to an address on Alabama Street, in reference to a report of suspicious activity. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with individuals in the area and a report was completed documenting the incident.
Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in reference to a suspicious person in the area.
Anthony Vigil, age 23, was arrested for Driving While Under Suspension and also received a traffic citation.
