Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on March 5, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on March 6, 2014:


Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance Service at an address on South 5th East.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Scott’s Bottom Road, in reference to a found animal. Animal Control Officers located a Chocolate Lab who was taken to the Green River Animal Shelter.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, in reference to a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East 2nd North, in regards to a report of nuisance property. Upon arrival, Officers contacted persons involved and the report was unfounded.

Officers responded to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Maryland Drive, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers assisted with a funeral escort from Union Congregational Church to Riverview Cemetery.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Cumorah Way, in reference to a report of suspicious activity.

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and addresses on Riverview Drive and Montana Way.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a welfare check. Officers contacted the parties involved and completed a report documenting the incident.

Officers responded to the area of Alexandria Circle, in regards to a report of littering.

Officers responded to an address on East 3rd South, regarding paper service. Two individuals were served a summons for the Green River Municipal Court.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Railroad Avenue, in regards to a report of trespassing. Upon arrival, Officers contacted an individual who was given a trespass warning for the property.

Officers were dispatched to the Adult Green River Probation and Parole Office, in reference to an agency assist. Officers contacted Anthony Maestas, age 30, who fled the area on foot. Anthony Maestas was located and arrested per a Probation Arrest and Hold Order and Interference with a Peace Officer.

Officers responded to an address on Minnesota Court, in regards to a civil issue involving property.

Officers were dispatched to an address on New Mexico Street, in reference to a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers contacted parties involved and determined a verbal dispute had occurred.

Officers responded to the intersection of Uinta Drive and East 2nd South, in reference to a one vehicle traffic crash. Castle Rock Ambulance Service responded to assist. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Evans Street.

Officers responded to an address on West 4th North, in reference to a report of lost property.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in regards to a civil issue involving property.

Officers assisted a motorist on Uinta Drive.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in regards to a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in reference to a welfare check. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the individual and reported everything was okay.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a traffic complaint on Monroe Avenue.
