Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on March 21, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on March 22, 2014:

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Uinta Drive.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Green River Way, in regards to a parking complaint. Officers tagged the vehicle for the parking violation.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Powell Street, in regards to a parking complaint. Officers tagged the vehicle for the parking violation.

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and addresses on; Aspen Street, Wilkes Drive, Evers Street, and Singletree Drive.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Oklahoma Drive.

Officers responded to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in regards to a funeral escort to Riverview Cemetery.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to Riverview Drive and Birch Street, in regards to a report of a dog at large.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilkes Drive, regarding a report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the individual and determined everything was okay.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Colorado Drive and Tennessee Drive, in reference to a report of a fight. Officers contacted parties involved who had separated prior to Officers arrival. A report was written in regards to the assault.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, regarding a traffic crash. It was reported a vehicle backed into a parked and unoccupied vehicle. Driver of the vehicle was issued a citation for inattentive driving.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a report of debit card fraud. It was reported an unknown person made a fraudulent charge to the reporting parties debit card even though the debit card was in their possession.

Officers completed a report of a vehicle passing a school bus light violation. The report was taken from the School District #2 School Bus Yard.

Officers responded to the Green River Adult Probation and Parole Officer, in regards to an agency assist.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Hitching Post Drive.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in regards to a juvenile problem.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Alabama Street, in reference to a report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the individual was well as others in the area and determined everything was okay.

Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in reference to a citizen assist involving child custody concerns.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in reference to a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of an alcohol violation.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilson Street, regarding a noise complaint. Officers contacted the resident, who was advised of the complaint and city ordinance.

Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers contacted two juveniles who were advised of the complaint, and their parents were contacted regarding curfew.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of a suspicious person. Officers contacted the individual, it was reported the individual needed a ride and a relative was contacted who picked them up.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in regards to a citizen assist.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on March 22, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on March 23, 2014:

Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilkes Drive, in reference to a report of suspicious activity. Officer checked the address and found it to be an unsecured property. Officers secured the property and contacted the reporting party.

Officers responded to Vet’s Park, in reference to a report of a found property. The reporting party found and turned in a cell phone.

Officers completed VIN inspections at addresses on Faith Drive and Logan Street.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, in regards to found property. A wallet and cell phone were turned into the police department. Officers located the owner of the property and the items were returned with nothing reported to be missing.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Colorado Circle, in reference to a report of found drug paraphernalia.

Officers responded to an address on Maryland Drive, in regards to a citizen assist.

Officers responded to an address on Barnhart Street, in reference to a verbal dispute.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the area of East Teton Boulevard and Gannett Circle, in regards to a report of a dog at large.

Officers responded to an address on Schultz Street, in reference to a report of vandalism. Officers contacted a juvenile in the area who was hitting rocks with a bat and accidentally damaged two windows.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Riverview Drive, in reference to a vehicle crash. It was reported the driver dropped a cell phone, tried to retrieve it while driving and struck two parked and unoccupied vehicles and caused one of the vehicles to be pushed into a third parked and unoccupied vehicle. The driver was issued a citation for Inattentive Driving.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in regards to a fire alarm. Officers reported the alarm was a result of mechanical equipment overheating and not a fire.

Officers responded to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a report of an unsecured property. Officers checked the property and reported everything was okay and secured.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to a juvenile problem. Officers spoke with a group of juveniles in the area and addressed the complaint.

Officers responded to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a traffic complaint that occurred on I-80.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Arkansas Drive, in regards to a barking dog complaint. Officers responded to the area and reported everything was quiet.

Corey Martinez, age 24, was arrested for Disturbing the Peace and was also issued a traffic citation.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on March 23, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on March 24, 2014:

Officers responded to an address on Maryland Drive, in regards to a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on North Wagonwheel Drive, in reference to a noise complaint.

Officers completed a VIN inspection at an address on Midwest Street.

Officer responded to an address on Cumorah Way, in regards to a citizen assist.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on South 3rd East, in reference to a report of a dog at large. The dog was described as a young female Husky.

Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a citizen assist.

Officers responded to the area of Uinta Drive, in reference to a report of a small black dog that fell out of the back of a truck.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Shoshone Avenue, in regards to a report of suspicious activity.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Iowa Avenue, regarding a fire alarm. Officer advised everything was okay at the residence the alarm was set of due to a cooking incident.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in regards to a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on North 1st West, in reference to a report of property damage. The reporting party advised a vehicle is pushing trashcans in the alley blocking access.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a report of a suspicious person. Officers contacted both parties involved who were both advised.
