Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on March 31, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on April 1, 2014:

Officers responded to the School District #2 School Bus Yard located on Monroe Avenue, in reference to a report of a vehicle passing a school bus light.

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and addresses on: South Carolina Drive, Knotty Pine Street, Anvil Drive, Cedar Drive, Keith Drive and Faith Drive.

Officers responded to an address on Monroe Avenue, in regards to an agency assist with a search warrant.

Officers were dispatched to the Green River Police Department lobby, in reference to a report of a stolen firearm. The firearm was reportedly stolen sometime during the last four months.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Wild Horse Canyon Road.

Officers responded to an address on Apache Drive, regarding a report of an attempted check fraud. The reporting party has a home business and was contacted by e-mail and text messages about a purchase. The reporting party received a check for the purchase of items. The check was from an out of state school with the amount approximately 5 times the amount of the purchase. The reporting party was instructed to cash the check, take out the amount for the items purchased and send the remaining amount via Western Union back to the suspect. The check was shown to a local bank who reported everything on the check was valid except the account number was made up. Thanks to skepticism by the reporting party and a local bank’s assistance no monetary loss occurred.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in reference to a civil issue involving property.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a civil dispute involving property.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Hitching Post Drive, in regards to a report of two, small black dogs in the roadway.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in reference to a report of a hit and run. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with a witness, and the suspected driver and vehicle returned to the area. Dustin Santhuff, age 19, was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued a traffic citation.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Wilkes Drive.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Cumorah Way, in regards to a report of a larceny. The reporting party advised tires were taken off of a scooter.

Officers responded to the Adult Green River Probation and Parole Office, in reference to an agency assist. Upon arrival, Officers contacted Dylan Damarto, age 23, who was arrested per an Arrest and Hold Order for a Probation Violation.

Officers were dispatched to an address on South 5th West, regarding safety concerns of juveniles riding ATV’s in the roadway without helmets on.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Maryland Drive, in reference to a report of a dog bite. The reporting party stated their child was bitten by a brown dog running at large in the area.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Crossbow, in regards to a noise complaint. Officers contacted the resident where the noise complaint came from and issued a warning.

Officers responded to an address on Clark Street, in reference to a report of a barking dog complaint.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Nolan Street, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard, regarding a citizen assist.
