Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on April 18, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on April 19, 2014:

Officers responded to an address on Daniel Boone, in reference to a report of a domestic dispute. Officers interviewed parties involved and completed a report of the incident.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in reference to a report of a scam. The reporting party advised money was sent to individual requesting rent assistance. After the money was sent the reporting party learned in the incident was a scam and stopped payment and reported no monetary loss.

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Knotty Pine Street, regarding a barking dog complaint. Animal Control Officers posted a notice at the residence.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Riverview Drive, regarding a barking dog complaint. Animal Control Officers spoke with the owner and issued a warning.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in regards to a report of a dog (Yellow Lab. puppy) at large.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in reference to a report of a fire alarm. Officers contacted the resident and determined everything was okay and a kitchen incident set off the fire alarm.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on West Teton Boulevard.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a traffic complaint on West Flaming Gorge Way.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a report of counterfeit currency ($50 bill).

Officers responded to the Green River Adult Probation and Parole Office, in reference to an agency assist. Upon arrival, Officers arrested Paul Castillo, age 33, per an Arrest and Hold Order for a Parole Violation on an original charge of Interference with a Peace Officer.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, regarding a report of a disturbance. Officers spoke with parties involved and determined a verbal dispute occurred.

Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a report of a medical call. It was reported a juvenile was injured while riding a bicycle.

Officers responded to an address on Hackberry Street, in regards to a report of a disturbance. Officer completed an information report regarding the incident.

Officers investigated a report of a sexual assault that occurred in Green River. The case is currently under investigation by the GRPD Detective Division.

Officers were dispatched to an address on South 5th East, in reference to a report of a disturbance. Officers spoke to involved parties and determined a verbal dispute occurred.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in regards to a citizen assist.

Officers located a vehicle described in a REDDI report on Uinta Drive. Officers spoke with the driver who was reported not to be under the influence.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a traffic complaint, involving possible drug use on Uinta Drive.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Knotty Pine Street, in reference to a call of a possible injured animal.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on April 19, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on April 20, 2014:

Officers responded to an address on Logan Street, in regards to a report of a larceny. The reporting party advised the license plate was stolen off their vehicle.

Officers responded to an address on Maryland Drive, in regards to a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Hillcrest Way, in reference to a civil standby.

Officers completed VIN Inspections at addresses on Miller Street and Mountain View Street.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a traffic complaint on Uinta Drive.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Stage Place, in reference to a welfare check. Officers contacted the individual and reported everything was okay.

Officers responded to the area of the Greenbelt and FMC Park, in regards to a report of motorcycles driving on the Greenbelt.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Mansface Street.

Officers were dispatched to an address on South Wagonwheel Drive, in reference to a parking complaint. It was reported a vehicle was parked and blocking a driveway.

Officers responded to an address on Cumorah Way, in regards to a civil standby. During the course a civil dispute was reported and Officers completed a report for a Violation of a Court Order.

Officers responded to an address on Colorado Drive, in reference to a report of a disturbance. Officers contacted the resident who was given a warning for disturbing the peace.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a citizen assist.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in regards to a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a report of credit card fraud. The reporting party advised they let an individual use their credit card, additional charges were on the card they did not authorize. The reporting party decided they would handle the incident civilly between involved parties.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on Nolan Street.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Pennsylvania Boulevard, in regards to a barking dog complaint. Officers posted a notice at the residence.

Officers assisted a motorist on West Flaming Gorge Way. The motorist was in need of medical assistance and an ambulance was requested to the location.


The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on April 20, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on April 21, 2014:

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Mountain Fuel Station.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Shoshone Avenue, in reference to a report of loud music. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the resident by telephone who reportedly forgot to turn off the alarm clock and would return home to take care of it.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on West 2nd North, regarding a report of a barking dog complaint. Animal Control Officers posted a notice at the residence.

Officers responded to an address on Maryland Drive, in reference to a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in regards to a report of civil matter involving child custody.

Officers responded to an address on Cumorah Way, in reference to a civil standby.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Monroe Avenue, in regards to a welfare check. Officers contacted the individual who reported he was okay and just stopped to rest.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Cumorah Way, in regards to a citizen assist.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Apache Avenue, in reference to a report of a dog at large. Animal Control Officers located a small black dog and took it to the animal shelter.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Wilkes Drive.

Officers responded to an address on Idaho Street, in reference to a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers contacted two individuals who were having a verbal dispute.

Officers completed VIN inspections at addresses on Waggener Street and Davy Crockett Drive.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, in reference to a civil standby regarding a custody exchange.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Colorado Circle, in regards to a report of malicious mischief. It was reported juveniles threw eggs at a house and vehicle. The issue was addressed with the juveniles and parents. The issue was handled as a civil issue, with the parents having the juveniles clean up the mess.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilkes Drive, in reference to a report of a trespass warning. At the residence Officers determined a bicycle had been stolen. The bicycle was returned to the owner who requested a trespass warning issued to the suspected juveniles.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in regards to a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on New Hampshire Street, in regards to a report of a barking dog complaint. Officers found multiple dogs barking at multiple addresses. Officers contacted one resident who was advised and posted notices at the other addresses.

Officers took a report of a verbal dispute that occurred on North Carolina Way.

Officers were dispatched to an address on South Carolina Drive, in reference to a report of a disturbance. Officers contacted involved parties at the address and determined a verbal dispute occurred.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Jefferson Street.
