Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:
The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on April 22, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on April 23, 2014:
Officers responded to an address on East 2nd South, in regards to a parking complaint. The vehicle was tagged.
Officers responded to an address on North 5th West, in regards to a parking complaint. Multiple vehicles were tagged for obstructing the sidewalk.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Jensen Street, in reference to a cat in a trap call. The cat was taken to the Green River Animal Shelter.
Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and an address on Massachusetts Court.
Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, regarding an alarm. It was determined the alarm was a test.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in reference to a report of a traffic complaint that occurred on East Teton Boulevard. A report was written about the incident.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East 5th South, in regards to a parking complaint. Officers determined the vehicle was legally parked and spoke with the owner about the reported concern.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Stephens Street, in regards to a report of multiple dead birds.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, in regards to a report of found property. The reporting found a cell phone in Green River and turned it into the police department. The owner of the phone has not been identified at this time.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in regards to a citizen assist.
Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Uinta Drive, regarding a report of a dog at large. The dog was located and picked up by its owner.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Scott’s Bottom Road, in reference to report of a group of juveniles with guns. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the juveniles and determined the guns were toys.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilson Street, in regards to a report of a dog at large. Officers located the dog (a Pit bull) and the animal was taken to the Green River Animal Shelter.
Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to an agency assist. Officers assisted the Department of Family Services on a welfare check, regarding conditions in the home.
Officers responded to an address on Monroe Avenue, in regards to a report of a hit and run vehicle crash. A parked and unoccupied vehicle was struck by an unknown vehicle that left the scene.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Arizona Street, in reference to a civil matter involving a property issue.
Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in regards to a citizen assist.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Upland Way, in regards to a report of a juvenile problem.
Hannah Bowman, age 24, was arrested per an active Green River Municipal Court Warrant for Contempt of Court for Failure to Appear on an original charge of Public Intoxication.
Animal Control Officers responded to the Municipal Horse Corrals on East Teton Boulevard, in reference to a welfare check on a horse.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Schultz Street, in reference to a report of an injured dog.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilderness Trail, in regards to a civil standby.
Officers responded to an address on Knotty Pine Street, in regards to a report of threats. Officers completed a report regarding the threatening text message.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a citizen assist regarding child care.
Officers responded to an address on East Teton Boulevard, regarding a civil matter involving property. Officers spoke with both parties involved, and one party was issued a trespass warning for an address in Green River per the reporting party’s request.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Maryland Drive, in reference to a citizen assist.
Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a traffic complaint on Uinta Drive.
Officers responded to an address on Apache Avenue, in regards to a report of harassment. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the reporting party who wanted a trespass warning issued to an individual for the property.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilson Street, in reference to a civil matter regarding property issues.
Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a dog at large. Officers located a brown and white dog.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in reference to a fire alarm. The alarm was determined to be accidental.
Officers responded to an unsecured property at an address on Homestead Drive. Officers checked and secured the property.
Officers responded to an address on Idaho Street, in regards to a report of a found dog. The dog was located and described as a Husky type dog with a green collar.
