Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:
The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on May 2, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on May 3, 2014:
Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and at addresses on: Juniper Street, Wilderness Trail and Hitching Post Drive.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Uinta Drive.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of a larceny. The reporting party stated their cell phone was stolen.
Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a civil standby regarding property.
Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, regarding a citizen assist.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in regards to a dog at large. The owner of the dog arrived at the residence at the same time Animal Control Officers did. The dog was released to the owner.
Officers contacted a resident by telephone, who had concerns over a possible scam regarding a recent sales call by a salesman.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Whalen Butte Road, in reference to a 911 hang up call. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the caller and determined the call to be accidental.
Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of found narcotics.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on South Center Street, regarding a report of a black Lab. at large.
Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of a Basset Hound at large.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to West Railroad Avenue, regarding a barking dog complaint.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, in regards to a citizen assist.
Officers assisted Green River Fire Department personnel at an address on Missouri Court. A smoke alarm was activated due to an over cooked meal.
Officers responded to an address on Tennessee Drive, in reference to a trespassing complaint. Upon arrival, Officers contacted Hayden Gardner, age 22, who was issued a trespass warning for the residence and was arrested per an active Sweetwater County Warrant for Failure to Pay on an original charge of Unlawful Contact.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Wild Horse Canyon Road, in reference to a 911 call. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the caller and determined the call was accidental.
Officers responded to an address on New Hampshire Street, in reference to a 911 call. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the resident and determined a child was playing with the phone, and everything was okay.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a citizen assist. The individual had questions regarding their horses.
Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on Uinta Drive.
Officers responded to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in regards to an unsecured property. Officers reported everything was okay and secured the property.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to an alarm. Upon arrival, Officers found the property unsecured and contacted a responsible party. The property was checked and everything was reported to be okay.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on May 3, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on May 4, 2014:
Officers were dispatched to an address on South Wagonwheel Drive, in regards to a noise complaint of loud music. Officers contacted the residents who were issued a warning for disturbing the peace.
Officers responded to an address on Maryland Drive, regarding a citizen assist.
Officers responded to an address on Indian Hills Drive, in reference to a report of a suspicious person. Officers made contact with the individual and reported everything was okay.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the area of Alabama Drive, in regards to a report of a barking dog.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East Railroad Avenue, in reference to a report of trespassing.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Jensen Street.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East 2nd North, in regards to a report of a stolen bicycle.
Animal Control Officers responded to the Green River Animal Shelter in reference to a found puppy. The puppy was found in the area of Wyoming Drive.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of a shoplifting. Officers spoke with the reporting party who wanted a trespass warning issued for the property.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Jefferson Street, in reference to a 911 hang up call. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the resident who accidently called 911 and was reported to be okay.
Officers responded to an address on Shoshone Avenue, in regards to a disturbance. Officers contacted parties involved and determined the dispute was a civil matter that was resolved.
Officers were dispatched to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a report of a missing person. The reporting party advised their child did not come home from school yesterday (Friday). Officers completed a report on the incident and entered the juvenile in NCIC as a missing person. The juvenile was located by a family member a few hours after being reported missing. The juvenile reportedly spent the night at a friend’s house without letting their parents know.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at addresses on: Fir Street, Uinta Drive, Mansface Street and Colorado Circle.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Ironwood Street, in reference to a report of a suspicious person.
Officers completed a VIN inspection at an address on Florida Drive.
Officers responded to an address on Stage Place, regarding report of harassment. The reporting party stated they had received harassing text messages.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Ironwood Street, in reference to a report of a suspicious odor. Officers determined a neighbor left an outdoor grill’s propane turned on, without the flame lit.
Officers responded to an address on Monroe Avenue, in regards to a report of a Violation of a Protection Order. Officers completed a report about the incident.
Officers responded to an address on Mansface Street, regarding a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers spoke with the juveniles who reported the incident. The parent reported they thought everything was okay.
Officers responded to the area of Upland Way, in reference to a report of juveniles causing a traffic hazard. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the juveniles or reported traffic hazard.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Indian Hills Drive, in regards to a report of trespassing. The reporting party wanted a trespass warning issued to an individual for their property. Officers contacted the individual and issued the trespass warning.
Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, regarding a report of a juvenile problem. Upon arrival, Officers and a responsible party for the property addressed the issue with the juveniles.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East 4th South, in reference to a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with parties involved and determined a verbal dispute occurred.
Officers were dispatched to an address on North 4th West, in reference to a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the reporting party who advised a verbal dispute occurred and the other person left prior to Officers arrival.
Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in regards to a report of a juvenile problem.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Clark Street, in regards to a report of a disturbance.
Officers responded to an address on Schultz Street, in reference to a report of criminal entry. The reporting party advised an unknown person entered the residence when no one was home and nothing appears missing.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a report of an assault. Both parties involved reported a verbal dispute had occurred that lead to physical contact between the two. A report was completed about the incident.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on May 4, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on May 5, 2014:
Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, regarding a welfare check on the residents.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East 4th South, in reference to a report of accidental damage. It was reported a vehicle ran over a paint can, causing paint to spray on property resulting in damage.
Officers responded to the area of South Wagonwheel Drive, in regards to a welfare check on three small children trying to cross a street. It was reported the juveniles left their residence without a parent being aware. The juveniles were located and were returned home.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Hillside Drive, in reference to a report of vandalism. The reporting party stated vehicles at the residence have been damaged during the last few weeks.
Officers responded to addresses on Ironwood Street, in regards to reports of auto burglaries. Residents reported items stolen from their vehicles. The cases are being investigated by the GRPD Detective Division.
Officers responded to an address on East 4th South, regarding a report of a found syringe.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Shoshone Avenue, in regards to a report of a motorist assist. The driver was having problems with a gas line on a recreation vehicle.
Officers responded to an address on Cumorah Way, regarding a citizen assist.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Crossbow Drive.
Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, regarding a citizen assist.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Mansface Street, in reference to a medical alarm. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the resident who reported the alarm was accidently set off.
Officers responded to an address on Cedar Circle, in regards to a citizen assist.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Buckboard Lane, in reference to a disturbance involving a large group of kids. Officers contacted the juveniles who reported a verbal dispute occurred.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilkes Drive, in regards to a report of fireworks being lit. Officers contacted the individuals who were given a warning and also cleaned up the debris.
Officers responded to the area of New Hampshire Street, regarding a barking dog complaint. Officers checked the area and reported several dogs barking at deer in the area.
Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to an injured animal. It was reported a vehicle struck a dog.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilkes Drive, in regards to a welfare check.
Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, regarding a barking dog complaint.
