Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on May 6, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on May 7, 2014:

Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Hitching Post Drive and Upland Way, in regards to a two vehicle crash. It was reported a driver failed to stop at the stop sign on Upland Way while traveling west bound. The vehicle continued into the intersection and struck a vehicle traveling northbound on Hitching Post Drive. A driver was issued a citation for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to an alarm. Upon arrival, Officers contacted a responsible party for the property and determined the alarm was accidental.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Pennsylvania Boulevard, regarding a report of a suspicious person. Officers contacted the individual and reported everything was okay.

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and addresses on: Iowa Avenue, Hillcrest Way, Midwest Drive and East 4th South.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to a report of a dog at large. Animal Control Officers located a medium sized, black and white colored dog with a collar and no tags. The animal was taken to the Green River Animal Shelter.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Buckboard Lane.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Crossbow Drive, in reference to an emergency alarm. Officers checked the address and reported everything was okay.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in regards to a report of a violation of a protection order. A report was completed about the incident.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Commerce Way, regarding a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers contacted the driver and reported everything was okay.

Officers responded to the area of East Teton Boulevard, in regards to a report of a traffic complaint. Officers located the driver and addressed the complaint.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a report of a small child riding a toy truck and trying to cross the street unattended. Officers located the child who was okay; the child was returned to a parent who had called 911 looking for the child.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a traffic complaint on South Wagonwheel Drive. Officers completed a report, regarding the complaint.

Officers responded to an address on Gannet Circle, in regards to a report of a civil issue involving property.

Melissa Hutchinson, age 37, was arrested for Driving While Under Suspension and received a traffic citation.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Monroe Avenue, in reference to a report of a stolen bicycle. The bicycle was located and returned to the owner.

Aldo Quesada, age 32, was arrested for Strangulation of a Family Member, Domestic Battery and Interference with Emergency Phone Calls.

Officers assisted Wyoming Highway Patrol with a vehicle accident on I-80.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Bridger Drive.

Officers responded to an address on South Wagonwheel Drive, regarding a trespassing complaint. Officers issued a trespass warning to an individual for the property.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a hit and run vehicle crash on Cumorah Way. While checking the area, no damage was observed to the fence that was reportedly struck by the vehicle.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a report of suspicious persons. Officers contacted the individuals who were advised of concerns on railroad property.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on Uinta Drive.

Officers responded to an address on Mountain View Street, in regards to a welfare check. Officers contacted the residents and reported everything was okay.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on West Flaming Gorge Way.

Officers responded to addresses on: Flaming Gorge Way, regarding unsecured properties. Officers checked and secured the properties and reported everything was okay.
