Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on May 9, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on May 10, 2014:

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department lobby and at addresses on: Uinta Drive, Lombard Street and West Flaming Gorge Way.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance Service at an address on Mansface Street.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Keith Drive, in regards to a report of a dog at large. The dog’s owner was located and a citation was issued.

Officers responded to an address on Monroe Avenue, in reference to a report of threatening text messages.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Driver, in reference to a report of tobacco being provided to a minor. Officers completed a report and a trespass warning was issued for the property.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on New Hampshire Street, in regards to a report of a barking dog. A notice was left at the residence.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Wyoming Drive, in regards to a report of too many animals at the residence. A notice was left at the residence.

Officers were dispatched to an address on South Carolina Drive, in reference to report of threats. Officers completed a report about the incident.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers responded to an address on Monroe Avenue, in reference to a report of sexual harassment. A report was completed regarding the incident.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Florida Drive, in regards to a welfare check. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the resident and advised everything was okay.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a traffic complaint on Uinta Drive.

Officers responded to the Green River Adult Probation and Parole Office, in reference to an agency assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Upland Way, in reference to a two vehicle crash. It was reported that two vehicles were backing out of parking spots and one vehicle backed into the other. One driver was issued a citation.

Officers responded to an address on Alabama Drive, in regards to a report of a larceny. The reporting party advised their bicycle was stolen.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Evans Street, regarding an attempted phone scam. The reporting party received a phone call from someone who represented themselves as their grandson. The individual wanted money sent to them as they were in a car wreck. The reporting party recognized this as a scam and no money was sent and no personal information was divulged.

Officers responded to an address on Logan Street, in reference to a welfare check.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Indian Hills Drive, in regards to a report of trespassing. The reporting party wanted a trespass warning issued to an individual for the property.

Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, regarding a barking dog complaint. Officers posted a notice at the residence and left a voice mail.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in regards to a report of a disturbance involving fireworks. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with two individuals who were both issued citations for the Use of Fireworks.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to an alarm. Officer checked the area and reported everything was okay.

Officers responded to an address on North 1st West, in regards to a suspicious person. Officers completed a welfare check on the individual and advised they were okay.


The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on May 10, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on May 11, 2014:

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Hillside Drive.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of a dead deer.

Officers responded to an address on Conestoga Lane, in reference to a welfare check.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Maryland Drive, regarding a citizen assist.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of East Flaming Gorge Way, in regards to a report of a German Sheppard at large.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Hitching Post Drive, regarding a citizen assist. The resident was attempting to contact their neighbor due to water flooding from the address.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Juniper Street, in reference to a report of an abandoned vehicle. Officers tagged the vehicle and attempted to contact the owner.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on West 2nd North.

Officers responded to the area of Scott’s Bottom Road, in regards to a citizen assist. The resident was walking along the river and become stuck. Officers assisted the resident and their pets.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with parties involved and determined a verbal dispute occurred.

Officers completed a VIN inspection on West Teton Boulevard.

Officers responded to an address on North 3rd West, in regards to a report of a dog at large. Officers located the animal and returned it to where it belonged.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on Uinta Drive.

Officers responded to an address on Iowa Avenue, in reference to a report of vandalism. Officers spoke with parties involved. The parents of one party advised they would resolve the issue between themselves.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Andrews Street, in regards to a report of a group of juveniles using tobacco.

Officers responded to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a parking complaint. A responsible party was contacted for the vehicle and moved it.

Officers responded to an address on Missouri Court, in regards to a smoke alarm. It was determined a meal had been cooked too long causing the alarm to go off.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a report of a domestic dispute. It was reported a verbal dispute occurred that turned physical. Officers completed a report regarding the incident.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Conestoga Lane.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Pioneer Park, regarding a report of a traffic complaint. The reporting party stated an unknown vehicle followed them from the highway through town.

Officers assisted Green River Fire Department personnel at an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a report a possible gas leak. Fire Department personnel advised it was not a gas leak.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Clark Street, in regards to a trespassing complaint. The reporting party wanted a trespass warning issued to an individual for the property. The individual was later located and issued the trespass warning.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on Uinta Drive.

Officers responded to an address on Schultz Street, in reference to a noise complaint.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Kit Carson Drive, in regards to a report of suspicious noise outside the residence.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on May 11, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on May 12, 2014:

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Iowa Avenue, in reference to a report of a burglary. The reporting party stated items were stolen from inside their vehicle. The GRPD Detective Division is investigating the case.

Officers responded to an address on South Wagonwheel Drive, in regards to a civil standby involving a custody exchange.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Mississippi Street, in reference to a report of two dogs at large. The owners arrived and the animals were turned over to them.

Officers responded to an address on Clark Street, in regards to a report of trespassing. Officers contacted the reporting party and completed a report about the incident.

Officers responded to an address on Maryland Drive, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in reference to a report of two abandoned vehicles. Officers tagged the vehicles and attempted to contact the owners.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Evers Street.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Railroad Avenue, in reference to an abandoned 911 call. Officers checked the building and reported it was secure and everything was okay. The call was reported to be line problems.

Officers responded to an address on Cumorah Way, regarding a citizen assist.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a citizen assist regarding animal care while the highway was closed.

Officers responded to an address on Arizona Street, in regards to a medical call.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on West Flaming Gorge Way.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a traffic complaint on Uinta Drive.

Officers responded to unattended properties on Uinta Drive and Homestead Drive. Officers checked and secured the properties.
