Green River Police Department wants to remind residents to be cautious with individuals calling on the phone requesting money or personal information. The caller can present themselves as a business representative needing to repair your computer. The caller can also represent themselves as a relative in need (has been put in jail, hospitalized or has car troubles).
We've had several calls of attempted phone scams recently, fortunately residents have been diligent in asking questions and determining the calls have been scams and not divulged personal information or suffered monetary loss.
