Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on March 19, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on March 20, 2014:

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Keith Drive in reference to a report of a barking dog.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive in reference to a report of two dogs at large. Animal Control Officers released the dogs to their owner.

Officers responded to the Police Department Lobby in reference to a report of Larceny. The reporting party reported that a closet door and shelf had been taken from their rental property.

Officers responded to an address on Keith Drive in reference to a report of a parking problem.

Officers responded to Evers Park in reference to a report of an unattended child. Upon arrival, Officers took the child home and a report was written concerning the incident.

Officers assisted a citizen at the Police Department.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Jensen Street in reference to a report of a barking dog.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard in reference to a report of nuisance property.

Gene Pierce, age 47, was arrested on a valid Sweetwater County Arrest Warrant for failure to pay on the original charge of fighting in public.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard in reference to a citizen assist.

Animal Control Officers completed a welfare check on a dog at an address on East Flaming Gorge Way.

Officers responded to the area of West Railroad Avenue in reference to a report of Suspicious Persons.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard in reference to a civil standby.

Officers responded to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way in reference to a report of a phone scam.

Officers completed VIN Inspections at the Police Department and at addresses on Riverview Drive, Hitching Post Drive, Mountain View Street and Elk Mountain Circle.

Officers responded to an address on Cumorah Way in reference to a report of an assault.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Apache Way in reference to a report of a cat at large.

Officers responded to an address on Aspen Street in reference to a report of a 911 call. Upon arrival, Officers determined everything was okay.

Rodney Smith III, age 24, was arrested on a valid Sweetwater County Arrest Warrant on the original charge of battery against a household member.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Elm Street in reference to a report of a barking dog.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive in reference to a report of a dog being locked inside a vehicle.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Pennsylvania Boulevard in reference to a report of a barking dog.

Officers responded to an address on Alaska Drive in reference to a civil matter.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Yates Drive in reference to a report of a dog at large.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive in reference to a report of a traffic hazard. The reporting party reported a person was throwing a bowling ball down the road.

Officers responded to an address on Aspen Street in reference to questions regarding a dog at large.

Officers responded to East Flaming Gorge Way in reference to a REDDI Report.

Officers assisted personnel with Castle Rock Ambulance Service at an address on Bridger Drive.
