Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:
The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on May 27, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on May 28, 2014:
Officers completed VIN inspections at addresses on: East Railroad Avenue, West Railroad Avenue, Illinois Court, Monroe Avenue, Spring View Drive and Arapahoe Circle.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, regarding a citizen assist.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Oklahoma Drive, in regards to a report of a barking dog complaint.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Colorado Drive, in regards to a report of a barking dog complaint. Animal Control Officers posted a notice at the address.
Officers responded to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a report of an abandoned vehicle.
Officers assisted a motorist on Upland Way.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on South Wagonwheel Drive, in regards to a report of a nuisance animal. Animal Control Officers posted a notice at the residence.
Officers responded to an address on Birch Street, in reference to a report of nuisance property. Officers posted a notice at the address.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in reference to a civil issue regarding child custody.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Alexandria Lane, in regards to an animal call regarding a bat.
Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in reference to a report of an abandoned vehicle.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on West Teton Boulevard.
Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, regarding a citizen assist.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Fir Street, in regards to a report of a vicious dog.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Montana Way, in reference to a civil issue regarding child custody.
Officers were dispatched to an address on California Drive, in regards to an alarm. Officers advised everything was okay and the alarm was accidental.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby for a citizen assist.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Riverview Drive, in reference to a report of a juvenile problem. It was reported the juveniles were causing problems with dogs in the neighborhood. Officers made contact with the juveniles.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to a welfare check on animals left in a vehicle.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on West Virginia Street, in regards to a barking dog complaint. Animal Control Officers posted a notice at the address.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a report of shoplifting. Officers completed a report about the incident.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilson Street, in regards to a report of a juvenile problem around an abandoned property. Officers contacted the juveniles and addressed the concern.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Logan Street, in reference to a vicious animal complaint. The reporting party advised they had been attacked by two cats while out walking.
Clifford Garcia, age 25, was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence and Interference with a Peace Officer.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in reference to a parking complaint. Officers contacted the reporting party and addressed the complaint.
Officers responded to an address on Schultz Street, in regards to a civil issue.
Joseph Kunkle, age 30, was arrested per an active Sweetwater County Warrant for Battery Against a Household Member, Interference With Emergency Calls, and False Imprisonment.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilson Street, in regards to a noise complaint. Officers reported the area was quiet upon arrival, but spoke with a group of people who advised it may have been them and Officers addressed the complaint with them.
