Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on May 28, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on May 29, 2014:

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a 911 hang up call. Upon arrival, Officers contacted a responsible party for the property who reported everything was okay and the call was accidental.


Officers transported two inmates from the Sweetwater County Detention Center to the Green River Municipal Court.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Alaska Drive, regarding a barking dog complaint.

Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in regards to a fire alarm.

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and addresses on: North Riverbend Drive, Bramwell Street, West Railroad Avenue, Wilkes Drive, Easy Street and East Teton Boulevard.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Hitching Post Drive.

Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in reference to a larceny. The reporting party advised an electronic device was taken from the property.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of two suspicious persons. The reporting party stated the individuals were selling items and may not have a business license.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of West Teton Boulevard, in regards to a report of a dog at large that fell in a hole. The owner of the dog was contacted and the dog was retrieved and turned over to the owner.

Officers responded to an address on Juniper Street, regarding a lost cell phone. Officers completed a report about the incident.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on New Hampshire Street, in regards to a barking dog complaint.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Michigan Court, in reference to a trespassing complaint. Officers spoke to the reporting party and a trespass warning was issued to an individual for the property.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of a two vehicle crash. One vehicle reportedly backed into another vehicle that was traveling through a parking lot.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, regarding a report of a larceny. The reporting party stated items had been stolen from a property on West 2nd North.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a found dog. Animal Control Officers picked up the dog described as a Cocker Spaniel and took it to the Green River Animal Shelter.

Officers responded to an address on Knotty Pine Street, in reference to a found child. Officers received a call about the same time from the child’s parent who reported the child and dog missing in the area. The child was reported to be okay and returned to a parent.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Clear View Drive.

Officers were dispatched to an address on North 4th West, in regards to a burglary. The reporting party stated items were stolen from inside their residence.

Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a minor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with both parties involved who reported no damage to either vehicle.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to a report of a larceny. Prior to Officers arrival the individual realized they forgot to pay for the product and returned to the business and paid for the product.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a disturbance. Officers spoke with parties involved and reported a verbal dispute occurred.

Officers responded to an address on Iowa Circle, in regards to a report of a fraud. The reporting party had an online password account compromised and reported a monetary loss. The case is being investigated by the GRPD Detective Division.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Wyoming Drive, regarding a loud music complaint. Upon arrival, Officers reported not hearing any music. Officers contacted the resident who had the television turned up and Officers advised of the complaint.

Officers responded to an address on Logan Street for a civil standby regarding property.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard, regarding a barking dog complaint. Upon arrival, Officers reported the dog was quiet and advised the owner about the complaint.

Officers made contact with a juvenile out after curfew on East Teton Boulevard. The juvenile was also found to be in possession of tobacco. The juvenile was issued a citation and taken to their residence.

Christopher Moore, age 40, was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence.

Officers responded to an address on Cumorah Way, in regards to report of suspicious activity. Officers spoke with the reporting party, checked the area and reported everything was okay.
