Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on May 29, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on May 30, 2014:

Officers attempted to locate an individual reported to be walking near I-80.

Officers responded to the Green River Adult Probation and Parole Officer, in regards to an agency assist.

Officers responded to an address on Buckboard Lane, in reference to a welfare check on an individual at the residence.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a business alarm. Upon arrival, Officers contact an employee and verified everything was okay and the alarm was accidental.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in reference to a report of a possible theft of identity. Officers spoke with the reporting party about the circumstances of the incident.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Colorado Circle, regarding a report of a runaway. It was reported an individual left the residence without permission.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a 911 call. Upon arrival, Officers reported everything was okay and the call was accidental.

Officers responded to an address on Wilkes Drive, regarding a citizen assist. The reporting party needed a message delivered to a family member who could not be reached.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Wilson Street, in reference to a report of two dogs at large. Animal Control Officers did not observe the dogs at large but did contact the owners who were advised of the complaint.

Officers completed VIN inspections at addresses on Spring View Drive and North 2nd East.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Virginia Circle, in regards to a report of a larceny. The reporting party advised items were taken from the property.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Alamosa Circle, in reference to an alarm. Officers checked the area and reported everything was secured.

Officers were dispatched to the area of East 2nd South and the underpass, in reference to a young child riding a bicycle in and out of traffic. It was reported the child was not listening to a parent and rode away on the bicycle. Officers contacted the child and parent and addressed safety concerns.

Officers responded to an address on East 3rd South, in reference to a welfare check regarding living conditions in the home. Officers reported the living conditions and persons at the address were okay.

Officers assisted a motorist on Uinta Drive who ran out of fuel.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in regards to a report of a larceny. The reporting party stated a child’s toy scooter was stolen from the address.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Lombard Street, regarding a report of a possible injured bird as a bird’s nest fell out of a tree.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilkes Drive, in regards to a parking complaint. Officers were unable to contact the owner of the trailer and tagged the trailer for a parking violation.

Officers responded to the Adult Green River Probation and Parole Office, in reference to an agency assist. At the office, Tiffany Mitchelson, age 35, was arrested per an Arrested and Hold Order for a Probation Violation on an original charge of Driving While Under the Influence.

Officers responded to an address on Birch Street, in regards to a fire alarm. Upon arrival, Officers reported everything was okay and the alarm was accidental.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Maryland Drive, in reference to a report of a dog at large.

Officers located a vehicle described in a traffic complaint on East Flaming Gorge Way. Officers addressed the complaint with the driver.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in reference to a report of a collision between a grade school aged pedestrian and a vehicle. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with parties involved and a witness. It was reported the pedestrian was in the yard with an adult and ran into the roadway and collided with the vehicle. An ambulance arrived on the scene to evaluate the pedestrian.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of harassment.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Railroad Avenue, regarding a disturbance involving two individuals. Officers checked the area and were not able to locate the individuals described or a disturbance.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on California Drive.

Officers responded to an address on Clark Street, in regards to a civil issue involving property.

Officers were dispatched to the west end of Riverview Drive, in reference to a report of suspicious persons in the area. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the individuals.

Wayne Hester, age 44, was arrested for a Violation of a Family Protection Order.

Officers responded to an address on Waggener Street, in reference to a welfare check. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the individual and others at the residence. Officers reported everything was okay.

Officers responded to an address on Homestead Drive, regarding a citizen assist delivering a message.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a report of an alarm. Officers contacted a responsible party for the address. Everything was reported to be secured and okay.
