Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on June 3, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on June 4, 2014:

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Davy Crockett Drive, in regards to a report of a barking dog complaint and welfare check on the same dog. Animal Control Officers reported the dog was quiet when checked on and appeared to be cared for.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Schultz Street, in reference to a parking complaint. Officers reported no parking violation and attempted to contact the owner of the vehicle.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on West 4th North, in regards to a report of a dog at large.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers assisted an escort on an oversized vehicle through Green River.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of a juvenile problem. It was reported juveniles were damaging trees and landscaping at a park.

Officers responded to an address on Virginia Drive, in regards to a report of nuisance property.

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and at addresses on: Hitching Post Drive and Uinta Drive.

Officers responded to an address on Clark Street, in reference to a report of nuisance property. It was reported the wind was blowing trash into yards in the neighborhood.

Officers took a report of fraud from an address on West Teton Boulevard. It was reported an unknown person fraudulently made charges to the victim’s credit card. The case is currently under investigation.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a larceny. It was reported money was stolen from the address.

Officers responded to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, regarding a citizen assist involving property.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a report of a juvenile problem. It was reported older juveniles were bothering younger juveniles. Officers spoke with juveniles and set up an extra patrol for the area.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Cumorah Way, in reference to a vehicle accident. The reporting party advised the accident happened several hours earlier and did not have a description of the driver or vehicle.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Schultz Street, in regards to a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with parties involved and determined a verbal dispute occurred.

Officers responded to an address on Wind River Drive, in reference to a report of a juvenile problem. Officers spoke with the reporting party about the incident.

Officers were dispatched to an address on South Center Street, in regards to a barking dog complaint. The dogs were secured in the residence and a report was written regarding the incident.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to an alarm. Officers checked the area and spoke with a responsible party for the property and reported everything was okay.

Officers were dispatched to the area of New Hampshire Drive in regards to a report of a juvenile problem. It was reported juveniles were running in the neighborhood damaging yard lights. Officers contacted a group of five juveniles, who were taken to the Green River Police Department for curfew violations and released to their parents.

Officers completed an initial report of a sexual assault. The case is being investigated by the GRPD Detective Division.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, regarding a subject removal. Officers spoke with the reporting party who wanted a trespass warning issued to an individual for the property. The trespass warning was issued to the individual.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Virginia Drive, in reference to a 911 hang up call. Upon arrival, Officers reported everything was okay and the call was accidental.

Officers responded to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in regards to a disturbance. Officers contacted parties involved and it was reported a verbal dispute occurred.
