Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on June 20, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on June 21, 2014:


Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, in regards to a report of a vehicle crash.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on West Railroad Avenue, in regards to a cat caught in a trap.

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and at addresses on Arkansas Drive and Iowa Avenue.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Evers Street, regarding a barking dog complaint. Animal Control Officers completed a report about the incident.

Officers checked on nuisance properties at addresses on: Moran Drive, Louisiana Way and Alabama Drive.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Mississippi Street, in reference to a report of fraud. The reporting party advised they paid for a service that had yet to be completed. The reporting party and the business made an agreement to resolve the issue.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of South 2nd East, in regards to a report of a dog at large. The dog was described as a medium size Rottweiler.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Hutton Circle, in reference to a report of an abandoned vehicle.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on Uinta Drive. Officers contacted the driver of the vehicle and reported the driver was not impaired.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Conestoga Lane, in reference to a report of a possible scam. The reporting party advised they received mail, in which the letterhead looked suspicious.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in regards to a parking complaint. The reporting party advised a vehicle unknown to them parked in their driveway without permission.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on Upland Way.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of East Teton Boulevard near the animal shelter, in regards to a report of a dog at large. Animal Control Officers located the dog that was described as a beagle.

Officers were dispatched to the Green River Adult Probation and Parole Office, regarding an agency assist. Upon arrival, Officers contacted Robert Lewis, age 31, who was arrested per an Arrest and Hold Order for a Probation Violation on an original charge of Unlawful Use of a Credit Card.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on Uinta Drive.

Officers were dispatched to the area of East 3rd South, in reference to a report of suspicious activity. Officers checked the area and reported a resident in the area had a get together and everything was okay.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Wilderness Trail.

Officers contacted two individuals at Stratton Myer Park. The individuals were advised of park hours and one was given a warning for curfew.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Wild Horse Canyon Road, in reference to a report of an attempted larceny. The reporting party observed an unknown individual trying to take items from inside their boat. The reporting party confronted the individual who fled the area on foot and got into a vehicle on I-80. The reporting party reported no damage to the boat and nothing was stolen.

Officers were dispatched to the area of East Teton Boulevard and Monroe Avenue, in regards to a vehicle crash. It was reported a vehicle struck a deer.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on June 21, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on June 22, 2014:

Officers completed a VIN inspection at an address on South 4th East.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on North 1st East, in regards to a report of a dog at large. Prior to Animal Control Officers arrival, the dog’s owner retrieved the dog.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on North 3rd West, in regards to a report of a dog at large. Animal Control Officers posted a notice at the residence.

Officers responded to an address on Colorado Circle, regarding a citizen assist.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Wilson Street, in regards to a report of a dog at large. The dog was described as a black Chihuahua.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of South 2nd East, regarding a report of a dog at large. The dog was returned to its residence and Animal Control Officers addressed the ordinance with the owner.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Monroe Avenue, in reference to a noise complaint. Upon arrival, Officers addressed the noise complaint and remained at the address for a civil standby.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of South 2nd East, regarding a welfare check on a dog left in a vehicle. Animal Control Officers checked the animal’s condition and spoke with the owners about the complaint.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bramwell Street, in reference to a report of a larceny. The reporting party stated an individual used their credit card without permission.

Officers returned a phone call from a resident who had civil questions regarding child custody.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a vehicle crash. The parties involved reported minimal damage.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Nolan Street.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address Riverview Drive, in reference to two found dogs. Animal Control Officers took the two dogs to the Green River Animal Shelter. The dogs were described as a Pug and a small brown dog.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilkes Drive, regarding a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers contacted parties involved and determined a verbal dispute occurred.

Officers responded to an address on Cumorah Way, in regards to a report of suspicious activity. A resident reported a camper was dumping liquid in the street. Upon arrival, Officers checked the area and advised the camper was not dumping any liquid; it was water running down the street from a yard sprinkler in use.

Officers were dispatched to West Flaming Gorge Way, in regards to a report of a dog at large. It was reported a Black Labrador was running in and out of traffic.

Officers assisted a motorist on Shoshone Avenue, as a trailer became unhooked from a truck.

Officers responded to an address on South 2nd East, in reference to a welfare check.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Uinta Drive, regarding a report of fireworks.

Officers were dispatched to an address on California Drive, in regards to a report of a disturbance. The reporting party advised someone was ringing the door bell and running away.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a traffic complaint on Astle Avenue.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a report of suspicious activity. Officers checked the residence for the reporting party and advised everything was okay.

Officers responded to the area of Cumorah Way, in reference to a report of suspicious activity.


The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on June 22, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on June 23, 2014:

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on South Wagonwheel Drive.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in reference to an alarm. Officers checked the property and reported everything was okay.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on East Teton Boulevard, regarding a report of a dog at large. Animal Control Officers located the dog and returned to the owner. The owner received a warning.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, regarding a citizen assist. The resident had questions about the use of child car seats.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Keith Drive, in reference to a barking dog complaint. Animal Control Officers posted a notice at the residence.

Officers were dispatched to the area south of Easy Street, in regards to a report of ATV’s driving on the hill. Officers spoke with individuals who were advised of city ordinances.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of West 3rd South, regarding a barking dog complaint.

Officers responded to an address on Conestoga Lane, in reference to a civil matter regarding property.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bramwell Street, in reference to a medical alarm. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the resident and determined the alarm was accidentally set off.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on East 4th South.

Officers responded to an address on Cumorah Way, regarding a citizen assist.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Cedar Street, in regards to a report of a dog at large. The dog was described as a Chow and was retrieved by a family member of the dog owner.

Officers responded to an address on Crossbow Drive, regarding medical call.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bramwell Street, in reference to a report of suspicious activity.

Officers responded to the area of Stratton Myer Park, in reference to a driving complaint. It was reported a vehicle was driving in the fenced off area.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, regarding a citizen assist. The individual had questions about a VIN number on a vehicle.

Officers contacted a resident by telephone that had questions regarding the eviction process.

Officers responded to an address on North 4th West, regarding a noise complaint of loud music. Officers contacted the resident and addressed the complaint.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East 3rd South, in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the parties involved. The reporting party wanted a trespass warning be issued to an individual for the property. Officers issued the trespass warning to the individual.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Jensen Street, regarding a found dog. The dog was taken to the Green River Animal Shelter and described as white in color and friendly.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East 2nd North, in reference to a possible domestic dispute. Officers arrived at the address and reported the call was unfounded.

Officers were dispatched to the area of East Teton Boulevard, in regards to a report of a suspicious person. Officers spoke with the individual and reported everything was okay.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Anvil Drive, in reference to a disturbing the peace complaint. Officers contacted the resident who was advised of the noise complaint.
