Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on June 23, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on June 24, 2014:


Officers responded to an address on Logan Street, in regards to a citizen assist involving property issues.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Doe Drive, in reference to an alarm. Upon arrival, Officers checked the property and contacted the owner of the property. Everything was reported to be okay.

Officers responded to an address on Monroe Avenue, regarding a civil standby involving property issues.

Officers transported an inmate from the Sweetwater County Detention Center to the Green River Municipal Court.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to an animal caught in a trap.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on East Teton Boulevard, regarding a welfare check on an animal.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on East 3rd South, in regards to a barking dog complaint. Animal Control Officers completed a report on the incident.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Uinta Drive.

Officers responded to addresses on Jensen Street, in regards to reports of nuisance properties. Officers contacted responsible parties for the properties who were advised of the complaints.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Jensen Street, regarding a welfare check on an individual. Officers checked the residence and were advised the individual lives out of state.

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and at an address on Kentucky Street.

Officers responded to the area of McKinley Street, regarding a parking complaint. A vehicle was tagged for five day parking.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on California Drive.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the area of Fir Street, in regards to a report of a dog at large.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a two vehicle crash. It was reported a vehicle backed out of a parking spot and struck a parked vehicle.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East 2nd North, in reference to a 911 hang up call. Officers checked the property and reported everything was okay.

Officers responded to an address on Powell Street, regarding a medical call.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a two vehicle crash. It was reported a vehicle was backing out of a parking spot and struck a vehicle driving behind the vehicle. One driver was issued a citation for improper backing.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on West 3rd North, in regards to a report of found baby ducks.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a traffic complaint on Hitching Post Drive.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to a report of vandalism. The reporting party advised kids were throwing rocks at an abandoned vehicle.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Hutton Street, in reference to a fire alarm. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the resident and advised everything was okay. A smoke detector was set off by a cooking incident.

Officers responded to the area of West Virginia Drive, in regards to a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Officers responded to the area of South 4th East, in regards to a report of a barking dog. Upon arrival, Officers reported things were quiet.

Officers assisted Green River Fire Department personnel at an address on East 4th South. It was reported there was a small grease fire in a kitchen.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Tennessee Drive, regarding a barking dog complaint. Officers completed a report about the incident.

Officers responded to an address on Shoshone Avenue, in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with parties involved and reported a verbal dispute occurred.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to a report of a shoplifter. Officers spoke with parties involved and completed a report about the incident.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Evans Street.

Officers responded to the area of Anvil Drive, in reference to a report of a disturbance. Officers reported a group of juveniles were being loud and the juveniles decided to go inside.
