Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on June 25, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on June 26, 2014:


Officers were dispatched to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, regarding a citizen assist. The reporting party locked their keys in the vehicle with a pet and needed medication inside. Officers unlocked the vehicle for the reporting party.

Officers responded to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a funeral escort.

Officers completed a larceny report from an address on Bramwell Street.

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and addresses: on Colorado Drive, Hitching Post Drive and Iowa Circle.

Officers responded to an address on Astle Avenue, in regards to a report of harassment. The reporting party advised they received harassing text messages. Officers completed a report on the incident.

Officers responded to an address on Commanche Circle, regarding a citizen assist. An informational report was written about the incident.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, regarding a citizen assist.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Michigan Court, in regards to a report of a barking dog. Animal Control Officers contacted the owner who was given a warning.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Maryland Drive, in reference to a report of suspicious internet activity. Officers completed a report about the incident.

Officers responded to an area of the Green River off of Highway 374, in reference to an agency assist. It was reported individuals fell of a boat and initially one party could not be located. Both persons were located and reported to be okay.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a vehicle crash. It was reported a vehicle struck the canopy at the business due to the height of the vehicle.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Moran Drive, in reference to a citizen assist. The reporting party advised two juveniles went to the river fishing and did not come home when they were supposed to and were not answering their phones. The juveniles were located and returned to their parents.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Hackberry Street, regarding a barking dog complaint. Animal Control Officers located the barking dog and the owner was given a warning.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Jensen Street, in reference to an alarm. Upon arrival, Officers reported a carbon monoxide alarm was going off.

Officers were dispatched to an address on California Drive, in reference to an alarm. Upon arrival, Officers checked the property; the owner of the property arrived and reported nothing was missing.

Officers assisted Caste Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Bridger Drive.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Tennessee Drive, regarding a barking dog complaint.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Cumorah Way, in reference to an altercation. Officers contacted the reporting party who advised the other involved party left the area. Officers completed a report about the incident.

Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to a report of disturbing the peace. It was reported individuals were yelling loudly.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Crossbow Drive.

Officers responded to an address on West Railroad Avenue, in reference to a report of a larceny. Officers completed a report on the incident.

Christopher Cummings, age 41, was arrested per an active Sweetwater County Warrant for Domestic Battery, and also charged with Larceny and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to an alarm. Officers checked the address and reported everything was okay.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to an alarm. Officers checked the property, a responsible party was contacted and everything was okay.
