Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:
The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on June 26, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on June 27, 2014:
Officers were dispatched to an address on Fox Hills Drive, regarding a parking complaint.
Officers responded to a parking complaint at an address on South 2nd East. Officers addressed the parking complaint.
Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in reference to an alarm. Upon arrival, Officers advised a responsible party with the proper code was at the address and the alarm was accidental.
Officers responded to the Green River Animal Shelter, in regards to a found property. The reporting party found a wallet and turned it in to the police department. The owner of the wallet was later identified and the wallet returned.
Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and addresses on Bridger Drive and Indian Hills Drive.
Officers were dispatched the area of Barnhart Street, in regards to a report of a two vehicle crash. It was reported a vehicle pulled into the roadway and collided with a vehicle traveling past it.
Officers contacted a resident by telephone regarding a citizen assist. The resident had questions about civil issues.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to a report of a disturbance. Officers spoke with parties involved and a report was completed about a domestic dispute.
Tyson Wiley, age 26, was arrested per an active Sweetwater District Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Child Support Hearing and a Sweetwater County Circuit Court Warrant for Failure to Pay on Traffic Offenses and Domestic Battery.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Idaho Street, in regards to a report of a dog at large. Animal Control Officers located the dog and it was taken to the Green River Animal Shelter.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Monroe Avenue, in reference to a report of a dog bite. Animal Control Officers completed a report on the incident.
Officers were dispatched to the area of the Green Belt near Jaycee Park, in regards to a report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, Officers contacted an individual who had an injury and Castle Rock Ambulance Service responded to assist.
Jay Hoffman, age 24, was arrested per an active Sublette County Warrant for Failure to Pay on an original charge of Unattended Fishing Pole.
Animal Control Officers responded to the Green River Animal Shelter, in reference to a report of a found injured animal.
Officers were dispatched to an address on South Carolina Drive, in regards to a report of an assault. Officers spoke with parties involved and completed a report about the incident.
Officers responded to an address on Bramwell Street, in reference to a report of a utility hazard. Rocky Mountain Power was contacted and responded to the address.
Officers responded to the area of Schultz Street, in reference to a traffic complaint. The reporting party stated ATV’s were racing in the street.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Midwest Drive, in reference to a neighbor’s report of an unsecured property.
Officers responded to an address on Schultz Street, regarding a citizen assist. It was reported a verbal dispute occurred regarding civil issues about child custody.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Wild Horse Canyon Road, in reference to a fire alarm. Upon arrival, Officers reported the alarm was a false alarm and completed a report about the incident.
Officers responded to Green River City Hall, in reference to a report of an alarm. Officers determined the call was a false alarm.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Barnhart Street, in regards to a report of suspicious activity. The reporting party heard noises coming from an unsecured property. Officers checked the property and reported everything was okay.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East 3rd South, in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the residents who reportedly had a verbal dispute.
