Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:
The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on June 27, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on June 28, 2014:
Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, regarding a civil issue involving property.
Officers responded to an address on East 2nd South, in regards to a report of parking complaints. Officers contacted the owners of the vehicles and resolved the complaints.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of an abandoned vehicle.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Crossbow Drive.
Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and at addresses on: Hitching Post Drive, Nolan Street, and Elm Street.
Animal Control Officers responded to the Green River Municipal Horse Corrals, in reference to a welfare check on a horse. Animal Control Officers advised the horse was okay.
Officers were dispatched to the Adult Green River Probation and Parole Office on two occasions, regarding agency assists.
Animal Control Officers responded to the area of East 4th South, in reference to a report of a dog chasing kids on bicycles.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in regards to a report of harassing phone calls. Officers completed a report on the incident.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East 3rd South, in reference to a report of a parking complaint. Officers contacted the owner of the vehicle who was advised to move the vehicle. The vehicle was not moved and the owner was later issued a citation.
Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a traffic complaint on Riverview Drive.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the area of Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of two small dogs at large.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Wind River Drive, in reference to an agency assist. Officers assisted Department of Family Services, regarding a welfare check on conditions in the home.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East Railroad Avenue, in regard to a report of trespassing. Officers contacted an individual who was given a trespass warning for the property.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Daniel Boone Drive, in regards to a report of a found dog. The dog was described as a Boxer.
Officers responded to an address on Cumorah Way, in reference to a report of suspicious activity. Officers checked the area and reported everything was okay.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Wind River Drive, in regards to a report of a larceny. The reporting party stated items had been stolen from their residence.
Officers responded to an address on Monroe Avenue, regarding a noise complaint.
Mitchell Hanberg, age 22, was arrested for Public Intoxication.
Austin Zeglen, age 19, was issued a citation for Under Age Consumption and Use of a False ID by a Minor.
Nicole Shilcox, age 18, was issued a citation for Public Intoxication.
Officers were dispatched to the area off of Bridger Drive near Stratton Myer Park, in reference to a report of a disturbance. Officers contacted the two individuals and addressed the complaint.
Shayd Bernard, age 20, was issued a citation for Under Age Consumption.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilkes Drive, in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, it was reported verbal dispute occurred. While in the area Officers contacted Trajan McQuitty, age 22, who was arrested per active Sweetwater County Warrants on original charges of; Failure to Appear on Violation a Commission Order, Failure to appear on Prohibited Sales of Tobacco to a Minor, and Probation Violation.
Aaron Wire, age 48, was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol.
Officers were dispatched to an address on South Dakota Street, in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers contacted involved parties and reported a verbal dispute occurred.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Bridger Drive.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on East Railroad Avenue.
Rodney Owens, age 24, was arrested for Public Intoxication.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers contacted the individual and reported everything was okay. The individual was starting a new job soon and wanted to observe the current business operations.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on June 28, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on June 29, 2014:
Officers were dispatched to the area of Aspen Street, in regards to a report of two dogs at large. The dogs were located and returned to their residence.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in regards to a report of an injured bird.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Wind River Drive, regarding an agency assist. Officers assisted Department of Family Services on a welfare check regarding a report of concerns in the home. Officers reported everything was okay at the residence.
Officers responded to an address on East Railroad Avenue, in reference to a report of vandalism. The reporting party stated there was damage to a business and a city light pole. Officers completed a report on the incident.
Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a traffic complaint on Highway 374.
Jacub Gailey, age 22, was arrested per an active Sweetwater County Warrant on Failure to Pay on original charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Interference with a Peace Officer.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Bridger Drive.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a report of a missing child. The child was located a short while later and returned to a parent.
Officers responded to the area of Ever’s Park, regarding a report of a lost child. The child was found and returned to a parent.
Animal Control Officers responded to the Municipal Horse Corrals, regarding a welfare check on a horse. Animal Control Officers advised the horse was okay.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to motorist assist.
Officers completed a VIN inspection at an address on North Riverbend Drive.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a report of two individuals walking their dogs. The individuals reportedly had a verbal dispute.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in regards to a report of juveniles breaking glass. Officers checked the area and reported no damage.
Officers were dispatched to the intersection of East Teton Boulevard and North Riverbend Drive, in reference to a two vehicle crash. A vehicle traveling northbound stopped, waited for a vehicle to pass prior to turning and was struck from behind from another vehicle. One driver was issued a citation for Inattentive Driving.
Caitlyn Alter, age 19, was issued a citation for Underage Consumption.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Tigee Circle, in regards to a report of a disturbance. Officers contacted the residents and reported people were outside talking.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Logan Street, in reference to a report of an injured dog. The owner arrived and picked up the dog. The dog was reported to be old and not injured.
Breanna Youngberg, age 24, was issued a citation for Contributing Alcohol to a Minor.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in regards to a report of a suspicious vehicle.
Officers responded to an address on Colorado Circle, in regards to a report of a stolen bicycle. Officers completed a report on the incident.
Officers were dispatched to an area off Bridger Drive near Stratton-Myer Park, in reference to a report of a disturbance involving two individuals. After contacting the individuals, Peggy Mullen, age 48, was arrested per an active Sweetwater County Warrant for a Probation Violation on an original charge of Driving While Under the Influence.
Officers responded to the area of Astle Drive, in reference to a vehicle crash. It was reported a vehicle struck a deer, the deer ran off and there was no damage to the vehicle.
Brad Byerly, age 28, was arrested for Public Intoxication.
Jason Fleet, age 23, was arrested for Public Intoxication.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Shoshone Avenue, regarding a motorist assist. The vehicle was moved out of the road way.
Officers assisted Wyoming Highway Patrol on East Teton Boulevard, in reference to an intoxicated driver on a traffic stop.
Christopher Knutson, age 25, was arrested for Public Intoxication.
Nathan Knutson, age 24, was arrested for Public Intoxication.
Caycee Woods, age 18, was issued a citation for Underage Consumption.
Officers responded to the area of Uinta Drive, in reference to a REDDI report.
Rebecca Byerly, age 31, was arrested for Interference with a Peace Officer and Public Intoxication.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on East Teton Boulevard. An individual reported being hit, but had no other information regarding the incident.
Officers were dispatched to an address on South Carolina, regarding a barking dog complaint.
Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on East Flaming Gorge Way.
Officers responded to the area of Waggener Street, in reference to a complaint of loud music.
Officers responded to an address on Schultz Street, in reference to a complaint of loud music.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on East Railroad Avenue. An individual reportedly fell and hit their head.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Nolan Street, in reference to a report of a stolen vehicle. It was reported the keys were left in the ignition of the vehicle. The case is being investigated by the GRPD Detective Division.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on June 29, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on June 30, 2014:
Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a 911 hang up call. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the residents and determined a child was playing on the phone and the call was accidental.
Officers responded to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Hitching Post Drive and Shoshone Avenue.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a dog at large. The dog was located and returned to its owner.
Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on Uinta Drive.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Nolan Street, in regards to a report of a hit and run vehicle crash. The reporting party advised their vehicle was parked and unoccupied during the night and struck by an unknown vehicle.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, in reference to a report of lost property. The item was found at Stratton Myer Park and released to the owner.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in regards to found property. A wallet was tuned into the Green River Police Department.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Jensen Street, in reference to an alarm. Officers checked the property, secured the property and reported everything was okay.
Officers responded to an address on South 2nd East, in reference to a citizen assist. The resident had questions about the river and was advised.
Officers assisted Wyoming Highway Patrol with traffic control, as a result from a vehicle crash on I-80.
Officers responded to an address on Upland Way, in regards to a report of vandalism. Upon arrival, Officers reported damage to a vehicle and completed a report on the incident.
Officers responded to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in regards to a report of accidental damage.
Officers responded to an address on Wyoming Drive, in reference to a report of property damage. The reporting party stated their vehicle had been damaged while parked in their driveway.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on West Railroad Avenue, in regards to a rabbit caught in a window well.
Officers responded to an address on Cumorah Way, regarding a citizen assist.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Knotty Pine Street, in reference to an alarm. Officers reported the call was accidental as a child set the alarm off.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East Railroad Avenue, in regards to a report of trespassing. The individual was reported to be trespassing on Union Pacific property.
Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on Uinta Drive.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Schultz Street, in reference to a report of loud music. Officers contacted Shea Sanchez, age 21, who was issued a citation for Disturbing the Peace.
Officers responded to an address on South Wagonwheel Drive. Officers spoke with the resident regarding traffic complaints on the street.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Colorado Drive, in reference to a juvenile problem. A juvenile was taken to the Sweetwater County Detention Center regarding Malicious Mischief.
Officers responded to an address on Cliff View Drive, in reference to an animal at large. The reporting party advised the animal went home.
Officers responded to an address on Fox Hills Drive, in reference to questions about a vehicle that was tagged as abandoned.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to a report of a suspicious person. Officers contacted the individual who was given a trespass warning for the address on Bridger Drive.
