Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.


The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on July 3, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on July 4, 2014:

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on North 3rd West.

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and at addresses on: South 5th West, Pennsylvania Boulevard, Cumorah Way and Mountain View Street.

Mark Mandros, age 53, was arrested per an active Green River Municipal Court Warrant for Failure to Appear on an original charge of Driving While Under the Influence.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Evers Street.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in reference to a report of a sexual assault.

Officers responded to an address on Blake Street, regarding a citizen assist. The resident had questions regarding trespassing.

Officers assisted Rock Springs Police Department, regarding an attempt to serve a court summons.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on South 2nd East, in regards to a report of a found dog. Animal Control Officers located a small gray poodle and took the animal to the Green River Animal Shelter.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a 911 call. Upon arrival, Officers determined the call was accidental and everything was okay.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in regards to a report of harassment. The reporting party stated they have been receiving harassing text messages.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Cumorah Way, in regards to a report of a parking complaint. Officers checked the vehicle and reported it was legally parked.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described as a suspicious vehicle on Cumorah Way.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, regarding an animal in a trap.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a disturbance between neighbors. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with parties involved and Wayne Hester, age 44, was arrested per an active Sweetwater County Warrant for Failure to Pay on an original charge of Battery.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Doe Drive, in reference to an alarm. Officers checked the area, reported everything was okay and the alarm was accidental.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of a vehicle crash. The driver backed into an object in the parking lot.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a REDDI report. Officers contacted the driver outside the vehicle and advised the driver was not intoxicated.

Officers responded to an address on Jensen Street, regarding suspicious activity. Officers completed a report on the incident.

Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in reference to a report of a hit and run vehicle crash. Officers completed a report on the incident.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in reference to a report of a dog at a large. The owner of the dog was contacted and given a warning.

Officers were dispatched to the Adult Green River Probation and Parole Officer, regarding an agency assist. At the office, Officers contacted Stewart Pomrenke, age 49, and was arrested per an Arrest and Hold Order for a Probation Violation.

Officers responded to an address on Upland Way, regarding suspicious activity. Officers contacted one of the involved parties.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East 2nd North, in reference to a 911 call. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the caller and reported the call was accidental.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Cumorah Way, in regards to a report of a disturbance. Officers spoke with involved parties and determined a verbal dispute occurred.

Officers responded to an address on Upland Way, in reference to a disturbance. Officers spoke with the resident and the other party left prior to Officers arrival.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Kansas Street, in regards to a found dog. Animal Control Officers located a black and brown dog with white paws.

Officers responded to an address on Clark Street, in reference to a trespass complaint. The resident wanted a trespass warning issued to two individuals for the property. Officers contacted the two individuals and issued the trespass warning.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Cumorah Way, in reference to a disturbance. Christopher Carmine, age 26, was arrested for Disturbing the Peace.

Officers responded to an address on Powell Street, in regards to a report of harassment. The reporting party stated they had been receiving harassing telephone calls. Officers completed a report on the incident.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Evans Drive, in reference to a welfare check. The reporting party was concerned as they had not heard from the resident in some time. Officers checked the residence and reported everything was okay.

Officers responded to the area of East Railroad Avenue, in regards to a report of a Violation of a Court Order. Officers spoke with involved parties.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, regarding a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the resident who reported everything was okay a child was frightened by loud fireworks.

Officers responded to a fireworks complaint in the area of Aspen Street and Birch Street.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on Uinta Drive heading south. The information was passed on to Wyoming Highway Patrol who later located the vehicle.

Officers responded to the area of Barnhart Drive, regarding a loud music complaint.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a suspicious person. Officers checked the welfare of the individual.


The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on July 4, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on m July 5, 2014:

Officers were dispatched to an area of East Railroad Avenue, in reference to a report of trespassing. Officers contacted two individuals who were given a trespass warning for the property.

Officers responded to an address on Hackberry Street, in regards to a civil matter.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of South Dakota Street, regarding a dog at large.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East 3rd North, in reference to a medical call.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of a larceny. Officers completed a report on the incident and the case is under investigation.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Iowa Avenue, in reference to an alarm. Officers checked the property and reported everything was secure.

Officers responded to twenty locations regarding fireworks use. When individuals lighting fireworks were identified Officers addressed the complaints. One of the fireworks in the city complaints resulted in possible property damage and a report was completed regarding the incident.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Homestead Drive, regarding a civil matter.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in regards to a civil issue. Upon arrival,
Officers spoke with the resident who wanted a trespass warning issued to an individual for the property.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East 2nd North, in reference to a report of threats. Officers spoke with the resident who wanted a trespass warning issued to an individual for the property. Officers contacted the individual and the trespass warning given.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Adams Street, in reference to a found dog. Animal Control Officers located a male pug and took the dog to the Green River Animal Shelter.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in regards to a barking dog complaint. Animal Control Officers checked the area and reported the call was unfounded.

Officers responded to an address on Cedar Street, in reference to a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Georgia Way, in reference to an alarm. Officers checked the area, reported everything was okay and a proper code was given to the alarm company.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Virginia Circle, in regards to a report of suspicious activity. Officers arrived on scene, spoke with the reporting party and advised everything was okay.

Officers responded to an address on Alexandria Circle, in reference to a found dog.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Wind River Drive, in regards to a report of an assault. Officers spoke with the reporting party and completed a report about the incident.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at a residence on Wyoming Drive.

Officers responded to an address on Daniel Boone Drive, in regards to a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers checked on the vehicle which was unoccupied.

Officers responded to an address on Alaska Drive, in reference to a report of something burning in the area.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Alexandria Circle, in regards to a suspicious activity. Officers checked the area, reported everything was okay and completed a report about the incident.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on July 5, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on July 6, 2014:

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Hoover Circle, in regards to a report of a deer caught in a fence. Wyoming Game and Fish were contacted and the deer was freed from the fence.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Buckboard Lane, in reference to an animal call.

Officers responded to the intersection of East Flaming Gorge Way and Uinta Drive, in reference to a traffic light not working properly. Officers checked the light and advised it was working fine.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a report of an unsecured property. Officers contacted the owner, checked the building and nothing was reported missing.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on South 2nd East, in regards to an animal call.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the Green River Municipal Horse Corrals, regarding a welfare check on a horse. The horse had been checked on previously.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, in reference to a report of a larceny. Officers spoke with the reporting party who reported money had been stolen. Officers completed a report regarding the incident.

Officers responded to an address on Maryland Drive, in reference to a report of a larceny. The reporting party stated items were taken from their residence in the previous weeks. Officers completed a report about the incident.

Officers responded to the area of East Railroad Avenue, in regards to a trespassing complaint. Officers contacted an individual who was given a trespass warning for the Union Pacific Railroad property.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Shoshone Avenue, regarding property damage. The reporting party stated a vehicle at the address had been damaged in the last two days.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers contacted individuals involved and determined a verbal dispute had occurred. One individual, Jose Partida, age 33, was arrested per an active Green River Municipal Court Warrant for Failure to Appear on a Probation Revocation on an original charge of Public Intoxication.

Officers responded to an address on Hackberry Street, in reference to a medical call.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on Uinta Drive.

Officers responded to an address on South 4th West, in reference to a hit and run vehicle crash. The reporting party stated a vehicle backed into another vehicle and left the area. The suspect vehicle was later located and a report was completed regarding the incident.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of two suspicious individuals looking in parked vehicles.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West 2nd North, regarding a welfare check. Officers checked on the individual and reported everything was okay.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Hawaii Court, regarding a barking dog complaint. Officers addressed the complaint with the dog’s owner.

Officers responded to an address on Logan Street, in reference to two found dogs. The dogs were taken to the Green River Animal Shelter.

Officers responded to an address on Clark Street, in regards to a fireworks complaint.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Crossbow Drive, regarding a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with involved parties regarding threats being made. A report was completed about the incident.

Officers responded to an address on Wilkes Drive, in reference to a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to the area of East 3rd South, in regards to a barking dog complaint.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, regarding a found dog.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Barnhart Street, in reference to a report of suspicious individuals near a camp trailer. Officers checked the area and did not locate the described individuals.

Officers responded to an address on Colorado Drive, regarding a barking dog complaint.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Crossbow Drive.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on July 6, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on July 7, 2014:

Officers were dispatched to an address on Wild Horse Canyon Road, in reference to a 911 call. Upon arrival, Officers determined the call was accidental and a child was playing on the phone.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Mansface Street, in reference to an alarm. Upon arrival, Officers reported a meal was burned while being cooked causing the alarm to go off.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Grand View Drive, regarding an injured bird.

Officers responded to an address on Wilkes Drive, in reference to a report of an unsecured property. Upon arrival, Officers secured the property.

Officers responded to the area of West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a vehicle crash. A vehicle was traveling on the roadway when the wheel came off the vehicle and struck another vehicle on the roadway.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, in regards to a report of a juvenile problem. Officers spoke with the parent and juvenile.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Crossbow Drive, in reference to a welfare check. The reporting party stated they had not seen the individual for several days.

Officers responded to an address on Cumorah Way, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a civil standby involving property.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilderness Trail, in regards to a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with parties involved and reported a verbal dispute occurred.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on West Flaming Gorge Way.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Hackberry Street.

Officers were dispatched to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Wyoming Drive and East Teton Boulevard.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Wild Horse Canyon Road, in reference to a 911 call. Officers confirmed the call was accidental as a child was playing on the phone.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on East 3rd South.

Officers completed a VIN inspection at an address on Sunset Street.

Dennis Seyersdahl, age 57, was arrested for Public Intoxication and Resisting Arrest.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East 2nd South, in reference to a report of an unsecured property. Officers responded to and checked the property.

Officers responded to an address on New Hampshire Street, in reference to a citizen assist.
