Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:
The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on July 18, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on July 19, 2014:
Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and at addresses on: East Teton Boulevard, North 1st East and Massachusetts Court.
Officers responded to the east end of Green River, in reference to a funeral escort.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to an alarm. Upon arrival, Officers determined the call was accidental.
Officers were dispatched to the area of West Railroad Avenue, regarding a report of a suspicious person. Officers contacted Denise White, age 57, who was arrested for Interference of a Peace Officer and per an active Sweetwater County Warrant for a Probation Violation on an original charge of Domestic Battery, an active Rock Springs Municipal Warrant for Failure to Comply on original charges of Contempt, Shoplifting and Criminal Trespassing.
Officers contacted a resident by telephone who wanted to report an identity theft. The resident reported an unknown person used their social security number to file a tax return and now the reporting party is unable to electronically file their taxes.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, regarding a barking dog complaint.
Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a found violin. Officers were flagged down by the owner of the violin and the item was returned to the owner.
Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a civil dispute involving property.
Animal Control Officers responded to the area of East 4th South, in regards to a report of a big brown dog at large.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to disturbance regarding a neighbor dispute.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Daniel Boone Drive, in regards to a report of an injured goose. The reporting party found the injured animal on the Green River.
Officers responded to an address on Cumorah Way, regarding a citizen assist.
Animal Control Officers contacted a resident by telephone that had questions regarding cats at large in the neighborhood.
Officers responded to an address on Clark Street, in regards to a report of harassment. The reporting party stated they had received harassing texts and on-line posts.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of a civil dispute. The reporting party lent an item to a friend who had not returned the item.
Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, regarding a dog at large. Officers located a Black Lab, which was taken to the Green River Animal Shelter.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Riverview Drive, in reference to a juvenile problem. Officers contacted a juvenile who was reported to have been ringing door bells and running away. The juvenile was taken to the Green River Police Department, issued a citation for Curfew and released to a parent
Officers responded to an address on North 1st West, in regards to a report of a disturbance. Officers contacted the resident who was advised of the noise complaint.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on July 19, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on
July 20, 2014:
Officers were dispatched to an address on Mississippi Street, in reference to an alarm. Officers checked the area, reported everything was okay and verified a false alarm with the resident.
Officers responded to an address on North 2nd East, in regards to a report of an individual dumping items in the reporting party’s trashcan.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on South Center Street, regarding a barking dog complaint. Animal Control Officers checked the area and reported everything was quiet and were unable to locate the dog described in the complaint.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in reference to an animal complaint. The reporting party advised they were walking their dogs, when a dog in the neighborhood charged at them.
Officers responded to an address on Crossbow Drive, in reference to a report of a phone scam. The reporting party did not divulge any personal information and did not report a monetary loss.
Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in reference to an alarm. Officers checked the property and advised the alarm was accidental.
Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, regarding a welfare check.
Officers responded to an address on South 2nd East, in regards to a report of a dog at large. The dog was located and returned to its residence.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Hitching Post Drive, regarding a barking dog complaint. Officers completed a report on the incident.
Officers spoke with an individual on the phone, in reference to a welfare check.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Evans Street, in reference to an alarm. Officers checked the property and the alarm company called and cancelled the call.
Trevor Vernon, age 26, was arrested for Reckless Driving, Fleeing-Eluding a Police Officer, and issued a traffic citation.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Oklahoma Drive, in reference to a possible burglary. The reporting party observed an individual looking in windows at the residence and walking around the residence. Upon arrival, Officers determined the individual was a relative staying at the residence and became locked out of the house.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Daniel Boone Drive, in regards to a report of loud music. Officers contacted the resident who was given a warning for disturbing the peace.
Officers responded to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a civil issue regarding a roommate.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on July 20, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on July 21, 2014:
Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Astle Avenue, in reference to a report of a dog at large. The dog was described as a Jack Russell Terrier.
Officers responded to an address on West 3rd North, in regards to a civil issue involving custody issues.
Animal Control Officers responded to the Municipal Horse Corrals, in regards to a report of found kittens.
Officers responded to an address on Cumorah Way, in reference to a citizen assist.
Officers assisted the Green River Fire Department at an address on Alabama Drive, in reference to an alarm. The property was checked and everything was reported to be okay.
Officers assisted the Green River Fire Department at an address on Shoshone Avenue, in reference to a fire alarm.
Officers responded to an address on Arizona Street, in reference to a report of a found dog. Officers located a large white dog that was taken to the Green River Animal Shelter.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Commerce Way, regarding a citizen assist.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, in regards to found property. The owner of the property was identified and the property returned to them.
Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on East Teton Boulevard.
Officers responded to the area of Riverview Drive, in regards to a report of a dog at large. Officers located a small brown dog that was taken to the Green River Animal Shelter.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Clark Street.
Officers responded to an address on Wilderness Trail, regarding a civil standby involving custody issues.
Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on East Teton Boulevard.
Darci Revelli, age 45, was arrested per an active Sweetwater County Warrant for Failure to Appear on a traffic citation.
Officers responded to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to an animal call. The reporting party found a bat in their residence.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Riverview Drive, in regards to a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with involved parties and reported a verbal dispute occurred.
