Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on July 22, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on
July 23, 2014:

Officers responded to the area of the Municipal Horse Corrals, in regards to horses running loose in the area. Officers assisted in returning the horses to their corrals.

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and addresses on Uinta Drive and Lombard Street.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in regards to a report of a dog at large.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a report of an auto burglary. The reporting party stated a vehicle on the property was broken into and items taken.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Clark Street, in regards to a report of a dog at large. Animal Control Officers located a dog described as a white Terrier and took the dog to the Green River Animal Shelter.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the area of Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of a dog at large. The dog was described as a German Shepherd with a blue collar.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Gannett Circle, in reference to a bird in a residence.

Officers responded to an address on Sioux Circle, in reference to a nuisance property.

Officers were dispatched to the Adult Green River Probation and Parole Office, in reference to an agency assist. Upon arrival, Officers contacted Jacob Montoya, age 25, who was arrested per an Arrest and Hold Order for a Probation Violation.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Upland Way, in reference to a report of a dog at large. The dog was described as a Corgi.

Officers responded to an address on East 2nd North, in regards to a report of damage to a vehicle. Officers completed an accidental damage report.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Andrews Street, in regards to a report of suspicious activity. Upon arrival, Officers located found property; the owner returned to the area and collected the property.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in reference to a welfare check on a dog left in a vehicle.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Elm Street, in reference to a report of a snake in the yard.

Officers contacted a resident by telephone that had questions regarding a parking complaint.

Officers were dispatched to an address on South Wagonwheel Drive, regarding a welfare check. Officers contacted the individual who was okay and would contact the concerned person.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Jensen Street, in regards to a report of a suspicious person. Officers contacted the individual and reported the individual was working in the area.

Officers responded to an address on Indian Hills Drive, regarding a barking dog complaint. Upon arrival, Officers reported the area was quiet and heard no dogs barking.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, regarding a disturbance. Officers contacted involved parties who were having a verbal dispute.

Officers responded to an address on West 3rd North, regarding a barking dog complaint.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in regards to a report of a juvenile problem. The reporting party saw teenagers on the roof of a building. Officers checked the building and reported it was secured.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Railroad Avenue, in reference to a disturbance.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a traffic complaint on East Flaming Gorge Way.

Officers responded to the area of East Railroad Avenue, in regards to a report of suspicious activity. The reporting party advised their vehicle was moved from where they parked it to a block away by an unknown person.

Officers responded to the area of East Teton Boulevard, in reference to a report of the smell of smoke. Officers checked the area and did not observe anything out of the ordinary.
